There were times where he'd stop himself from following or falling in the tracks of others; do the opposite and talk when there was silence, lead when there was no leader, smile when happiness was missing, live when there was nothing to live for. This time, he just couldn't think of anything and remembered his own words and call for a possible silence. A mere suggestion turned reality because as darkness dawned to twilight; they wouldn't have a conversation.
I can't tell either, anymore...was the third thing that passed through his mind after hearing her final and concluding sentence. He put his hand on his forehead, pushing his fringe upwards and away, keeping his eyes closed. The awkward silence to come should be nothing to either of them since he was no longer feeling talkative and the waves were harmonious though there was no melody comparable to be played, except perhaps a subtle tune by the wind.
