"You're jumpy," Ian noted curiously, sitting down not too far away and drawing his knees up to his chest, humming softly as he stared in a half-daze over the water. "Is it because of those guys the other evening?"
"Its..." He was about to tell him it was none of his business and in truth it wasn't. After a moment of silence he agreed, nodding his head and looking over his shoulder to confirm that no one was there.

Ian nodded in understanding and stared at the white-capped waves again, imagining he could feel a chill wind from the direction of Dark Cave Isle. He looked down onto the sand and picked up a shell with a jagged crack clipped off, and turned it in his fingers for a few moments before pushing it into the sand and scooping the grains into another odd, swirling pattern. "You must have really angered them . . ." he said offhandedly, to hide curiousity.
