"So now you know i don't exactly need to be alone right now." He scoffed and then pretended to look thoughtful when he had already thought of the next thing he'd do or say; the only thing was deciding which to go along with. After the moment of her gasp, he confirmed that she wanted to shove past him and run for it but since she had made the wiser choice of staying and not doing so, he locked the door with a small grin on his face. Obviously, she knew some part of the story, some part of when things were never to be the same again and that had happened just a few days ago so keeping her was relevant to a cause, in his opinion. "Would you beg to leave me, here, and now?"

At this point Charlotte shut her eyes, she felt as though what naturally would happen there, would be her life flashing before her. But as this was reality, it would be pathetic to think that. The one question she was desperate to ask, was just creeping up inside her, waiting to burst out. She shook her head to his question, not wanting to annoy or anger him. Her question was itching away, she had to ask, "W-Why have you locked the door?" she staggered out.

"Because i wanted to. More like, i saw a need to and since i could too..." He trailed off in answer to her stammering, being almost hyperaware of her taking precautions. When she closed her eyes in desperation, he wondered if she thought it was a dream that she was in or if she believed that was going to change the reality of anything and continued grinning faintly, with satisfaction. To make her a little more edgy, he shifted his weight off the door and stopped relying on it to almost take a step towards her but didn't, with an urge to push suspense. "Why do you ask?" The question popped out of nowhere but it wasn't at an incorrect timing and the quiet, good conscience screamed in his head, cursing this darker ego that had an unknown origin which she possibly could know of.

Charlotte tried to do her own zoning out 'trick', but was stopped inevitably by Tyler, and herself for that matter. His voice pushed back the thoughts banging against her skull. She re-opened her eyes, "Tyler," she said calmly, "Why do you think I asked, hmm?" she commented, "I mean, most people would find it odd if someone would just lock a door, for no good reason, I mean, why would you need to lock this door," she banged on it lightly, "i said, I wasn't going anymore," she stated. She shocked herself a little, was it really her talking so strongly? It seemed the whole situation, somehow, brought the better out of her. Or was the worst yet to come?

"Good question, i failed to consider your reasons." With her sudden change in attitude, he decided it was boring to keep her standing there when they were surprising each other, which wasn't part of what he wanted and moved away from the door leniently. Permitting her to unlock the door in his gesture though he was just amusing himself to see her reaction this time; it seemed forever changing after all.
"But you're not most people are you?" Now, he slid both his hands into his pocket and stepped aside completely, mocking her and somewhat pushing her to make a decision as to opening the door or staying to prove what she was saying was true. It was useless to ask about her feelings and at this time, he couldn't even make himself care because he could feel nothing for compassion.
"I'm glad you're not going anymore. . .though, as you see this pathway? I can unlock the door and so could you. Which is better? I'm letting you go now Charlotte since you must be . . .too much more than scared. I'm not needing to be alone though, for the last time." He fell silent and urged her even more by movement and going back to drag his chair to the darker area of the glass room, where the sunlight had once again crossed the sky after that random passing shading of the clouds.

Charlotte was grateful for his gesture to unlock the door. She stood tall, "No, there is no need to...," she lied somewhat, she felt slightly more calm, "I mean, there is no need to feel threatened by you is there?" she laughed nervously. She kept her same position next to the door, looking longingly outside for a moment longer. She shut her eyes for a second, then re-opened them, "I mean, I'm here, neither want to be alone exactly," she stated, this was true. She turned towards him, "We can talk, if you want," she suggested, "About, you know..?" she said. She didn't exactly want to blurt out about his sudden mood change, I could just go all mad on her once again. Right now her plan was to just keep him calm.

"I don't see what else we could really do if we can't even talk. . ." He said noncommittedly, almost with the tone for retaliation but not wanting to make a debatable conversation and swung the chair around on it's back legs so it swiveled to face her, allowing him to sit down and continue looking at her. "but about that, this . . ." Her suggestion made him purse his lips and look thoughtful before his mind went through another up and down phase where he was suddenly calm and back to being himself, for the minute. "I don't understand it and yet, something tells me you do. Unless some part of me, or 'that' part is mistaken?"

"Can't or won't," she mumbled under her breath. She took a slow step forward towards him, holding her breath. She awaited a reaction, as still as possible. Nothing. Thoughts were crashing against her skull, what was going on?! It was screaming in her mind. She listened to his last words, "I do?!" she blurted out, almost squealing, she pointed to herself, "Tyler, I don't even understand why I'm still here, nevermind what's wrong with y-..." she stopped herself, biting tightly on her lips. She regretted saying anything about the matter dreadfully. She stepped back, stunned at herself.

"Well it sure seems like you do!?" He raised an eyebrow at her and made a flailing hand gesture at nothing in particular, as if he was over reacting but still controlled enough not to shock her more.
"Though, if you don't know why you're here....i might as well not know why i'm acting this way...it'll probably make more sense not to know things that aren't meant to be known." With this, he hung his head and sighed half heartedly before it would appear to be another dramatic mood swing; only this time to show some form of depression and insecurity rather than forward demanding...

OOC: Long time no speak in this thread "Okay, I thought I knew why I was here," she paused, "Yes, you brought me here, so i could somehow teach you how to 'zone out'," she nodded firmly. "But this obviously back-fired on me," she told him, "You changed Tyler, for no apparent reason," she bit her lip, wondering whether to go on.

ooc: long time not been online lol i'd forgotten about this thread.
"Zoning out? we're more or less over thinking and being paranoid instead of teaching and being taught. But maybe that's the part of the puzzle we should pay most attention to? I have no idea what i'm talking about."
When he said 'we', he was actually describing her indirectly and that did agree with how it had all back fired on her. Only, he was starting to lose the memory of how and why it had back fired and that creeped himself out so he was unsure of whatever went through his mind and whatever he had to say; that was way too different.

Charlotte was terrified at this point, she didn't really understand anything he was mumbling on about. She merely looked at him, searching for answers. "I'm not paranoid," she muttered out in response. "I just didn't feel exactly, secure with you," she told him straight out. She couldn't keep it in any longer.
Charlotte nodded and started turning back again, "It's a shame I couldn't help you really, I would have liked to," she smiled weakly down towards him.

Frowning, he pushed back his fringe so that strands of his hair was sticking in odd directions and appeared disheveled. Truly, he didn't know what he was saying or thinking. It was the peak of his feelings, he wasn't going to be able to control himself from going absolutely nuts but he understood that much and tried to hide his dismay. These strange actions ....occurences had been happening for awhile now even though Charlotte probably knew; Ian certainly did and so did Harriet. His symptoms were unclarified but they weren't going to last forever and he would give way to them soon; be it living or anything else.
"I don't feel exactly secure either. I'll give myself a few more days of this mental case before i swear i'm going to permanently be gone." He told her just as flatly as she had told answered him; seemingly normal for the split second, again. "Then I'll just help myself?" Her weak smile was brushed past and he didn't look at her for his eyes gleaming with sorrow this time; he couldn't help it, it was the moment when emotions would come in pangs.

Charlotte swallowed, she didn't know whether this new revelation made her feel more terrified or a little more guilty. He was actually admitting that he had a problem, which, made her feel sorry for him. She felt a rush of courage seep through her, "Tyler, it's not fair for you to feel alone when you're, like...this.." she told him. What am I letting myself in for? she questioned herself.
She watched him for a moment longer, "I'll be there..." she said slowly. What was with this sudden change of heart? Why had she suddenly felt guilty, just for accusing him of being mad. Was she still just terrified that if she didn't help he would do something to himself? All she knew was that she needed to help.

She was saying things beyond her self control and it was out of pity; he resented it but bit back his tongue and held the words of bitterness within him. What she should have known was that she was in too deep to begin with and there wouldn't be a way for her to back out of it. "I wasn't alone previously...It's just probably better accepted this way because obviously things have freaked you out like none have ever before." He looked at her now, without a glimmer in his eyes, just plainly and dull. Apathetic..
Her comment confused with him; her change of heart was foreign but he wasn't going to accuse her so that she'd change her mind. It might come in handy that she was kind. "I kind of think i'm just literally... bonkers. Out of my mind though not insane enough to lose logic. It's a feeling like having second thoughts that come true while the first thought is forgotten; puzzling."
It was incredible and he didn't want to continue, like a nutter and instead changed the conversation. For once not manipulating it like he had always done; this time it was genuinely just small talk with her. Without a clue where the intiative was headed. "So...about teaching me to zone out, i think i've learned unconsciously. My routines have been boring, could you enlighten me with events that you've come across?"
