"Sorry," she mumbled, she began to feel a little uncomfortable. she shifted her gaze between him and the floor frequently. "Maybe I'm just not as confident as the others," she managed to excuse herself.

"no it's okay, nothing to be sorry about." He tried to be reassuring but thought he was failing and moved to sit down in front of her, right in the middle of the corridor carefree. "If you're not as confident as others, there's always the option of trying or just being yourself? You're probably not the only person who didnt have full confidence in themselves when someone, who's a stranger, randomly came and started talking as much as i am doing... You don't even need to be interested either, really."

Charlotte sighed a little, "No, I am interested, I just get distracted you know?" she told him, "I seem so quiet and untalkative, but like you said, I'm not used to just start talking to someone I've never met before," she stated, "Sometimes it scares me a bit, but only if they're mean and so on..." she mumbled, "But of course, you're not," she assured.

"If i am, you can tell me?" As she sighed, he leaned back on his hands and stopped looking at her so intently to stare at the shadows on the wall. "would you say you had a short attention span then?" Her reassurance was nice but he did think he was mean sometimes and admitted, sighing too from the thought.

"No of course you're not, I'm blunt also, so I would have told you by now, surely," she smiled warmly at him, encouragingly. She then looked away frowning in concentration, "Yeah you could say that actually."

"well, it could've been worse, like i could've just not been interesting enough so you having a slightly short attention span isn't bad at all." His reverse psychology was trying to play him glad but he was satisfied with their conversation anyway and didn't need the whole thinking process to go with the flow. "see, smiling is good for you? I'd not usually say that but, whatever for a day.."

"Mmhmm," she mumbled, nodding. She frowned at herself, he was being so nice to her, she just seemed like she was chucking it away. She smiled up at him again, "Almost went off on one again," she laughed a little.

"Almost, maybe you could show me what you think of? When you go off again? I do daydream and stuff but i've never been able to truly distract myself. It might work?" Now, he was only guessing if it was even possible to do something like that. A feat that was just unrealistic, or was it?

"That's the thing Tyler, I don't know what I get distracted about, why?" she frowned, "I don't think of anything, just blank," she replied, fiddling with her fingers.

"You don't know what you get distracted about but you still do it so maybe if i just zoned out with you or whenever you did. I'd experience the same thing for a change." She was rather fidgety and if she hadn't reassured him, he'd have assumed she was nerve racked or wishing the time they spent would pass. There wasn't a girl he'd met who was so quiet with him but he didn't mind and rather imagined using her as an artistic muse because she'd be patient enough in her own little world unlike other people.

Charlotte looked up towards him willingly, "Yeah, I don't see why not..." she replied, still fiddling with her fingers. Tyler seemed so persuadable, and happy to do things, almost help her.

"ok now what? i just realised i couldn't just zone out on you when you're trying not to zone out on me." What he said almost made sense but he wasn't sure and sneaky games were popping up in his head; though it was nothing of bad intention, he was arguing and convincing himself not to act like he had known her forever and that there was still much to learn about her so he would keep them for another time.

Charlotte laughed a little, "Well since I'm almost zoning out anyway, and you're trying to zone out, I guess we should just... Zone out!" she rolled her eyes, waiting for his reaction.

"But if we do that then it's going to just be complete silence! Although, i do wonder what people would think if they wandered down this corridor and saw us looking practically stoned." He almost laughed and looked thoughtfully down either end of the aisle then up at the high, stone cieling. "We'd sit like gargoyles if you realise..."

She laughed a little, looking either side of her also, "Yeah I guess you're right," she paused, "Well, maybe another time, or another place?" she suggested, secretly wishing they would go somewhere else, she didn't particularly want to sit in darkness anymore.
