The bell just rang for the end of the day and Charlotte managed to drag herself away from her last class and into the bathroom. The place was empty, making Charlotte smile a little. She made her way over to one of the many mirrors, and stared right at it, letting out a short sigh. Almost immediately she turned away and began to run the cold tap. The water quickly began to spurt out, filling up the sink. She pushed her hand towards the plug, and slung it down and blocked the bottom.
The sink was beginning to overspill, but Charlotte didn't notice. She had began staring at herself again, with a continuous frown. Her hands were gripping to the edges of the sink, the water pouring over them.

Lexi walked into the bathroom after classes had ended with a slight smile on her face. She'd just finished a long, torturous Herbology exam, and felt a tremendous weight being lifted from her shoulders. Whether she did well or poorly, it was over with now, and she wouldn't have to worry about it until the grades came out. Whatever happened, happened, and she knew she couldn't change what was in the past now.
As she pushed open the door, she saw Charlotte standing over towards the corner, water spilling onto the floor as she stared, seemingly dazed, into the mirror. They were friends, even though they hadn't seen much of eachother lately, so she walked over to her with a hint of worry in her eyes, reaching over to turn off the tap. "Hey, Charr?" she asked, frowning slightly. "Everything alright...?"

Charlotte heard a voice and it shot straight through her making her bump right back into reality. She felt her body shake from the sudden shock, and she slipped on the water that had been pouring from the sink, luckily she managed to grab onto Lexi quickly enough to get her stable again. She brought herself up to her normal standing position, and looked at her friend, and then glanced over at all of the water glissening over the sink and floor, and let out a small gasp. Charlotte took a step back, "What happened?" she questioned to no one in particular. She began shaking her head ferociously, was this her? Did she do this?
She quickly looked back over to Lexi, "I-I.. sorry.." she stuttered out. Her cheeks were turning peach, her hand reached to her mouth, her eyes bulging.

Lexi's eyes were wide as well as she nodded slightly, trying to understand how Charlotte was feeling... what she was doing. This wasn't the girl she'd come to know. Something was terribly wrong..
"What d'you mean, what happened?" she asked, furrowing her eyebrows slightly as her gaze followed the small rivers of water flowing towards the bathroom stalls. "I thought you would know. I just came in a few moments ago, but you were staring at the mirror, and I can only assume you turned on the taps..."
But, when she had apologized, it had only furthered Lexi's confusion. "Sorry for what? Charlotte, what's going on?" she asked, frowning now.

Charlotte frowned, "B-But...I didn't.." she shook her head madly. Charlotte began looking at the ground, "I couldn't have," she kept repeating. She began pacing the bathroom, making sure she didn't stand in the water.
Thoughts were racing through her mind, she didn't even remember walking in here, never mind flooding the bathroom. "Did you not see him? It wasn't me... I just saw it.." she stopped herself suddenly. She felt her throat close up, stopping her from saying anymore.
Her eyes were stuck on Lexi, her hands shot to her throat, grasping for air. Her knees fell to the ground, her mind spinning.

Lexi watched as Charlotte fell to her knees, and begun to panic. "Charlotte?" she asked, then immediately shot into action when she received no response. She kneeled down next to her and pulled out her wand, pointing it at her friend's throat. She hadn't actually practiced any spells that would reopen a throat, but either she tried, or she simply watched her friend die.
"Charr. You've got to relax." she said as calmly as she could manage, though her mind was reeling, crowded with thoughts. "Just.. breathe. Come on..." She didn't want to have to resort to a spell, but if she couldn't manage to get ahold of herself, there would be no other option.

Charlotte's eyesight blacked out, but she could still hear the voices. Lexi's were mixed in between them. She tried as best she could to seach and find Lexi's, but the others were too overpowering. Her breathing began to become short and fast. Her head was tossed back, to her it felt like a gust of wind had uncontrollably pushed her back, but in reality there was nothing.
The pressure in her throat was builing up, she was bursting to scream, push the pain away. She felt a thud on the floor, believing Lexi was next to her, she felt for any part of her. She managed to feel for her hand, Charlotte gripped onto it.
Lexi's voice seemed to become more audible now, her words began to repeat in Charlotte's head Breathe..Breathe she continuously thought.

Lexi held onto Charlotte's hand and pressed it slightly, trying to remind her that she was still there, and trying to help. With her other hand, she pointed her wand at her throat, knowing that nothing else was going to save her. She had almost passed out.. or maybe she had, Lexi couldn't really tell.
"Anapeno." she muttered, as a silver-grey light flashed from her wand to her throat. It was supposed to clear blocked airways, she knew, but she couldn't tell if it worked. "Come on, Charlotte... breathe..." she reminded her, panic growing steadily in her.
ooc- Brian made a mistake. He just admitted it. Use it against him. =]

Charlotte felt Lexi squeeze her hand, this seemed to jerk her head back upright. She began to stop struggling, although in away it was as if she was letting go. She began to shake a little, as now she was covered in freezing water, from rolling around. Charlotte heard Lexi say the spell, for a moment there was no change to Charlotte's state, still laying back shivering. But then the spell seem to run through her body, finally reaching her throat, and finally released her from the threat of dieing. Her eyes slowly re-opened, and reach Lexi's eyes. She looked at her, her eyes beginning to fill up with water, "S-Sorry.." she managed to finally mumbled out. This single word was croaking, as her throat was still throbbing. OOC: YES! Thanks a lot, sometimes it's great having you two as brother and sister

Lexi didn't reply to Charlotte's apology; in fact, she didn't do anything at all. Her gaze locked with her friend's, she struggled to come up with a reasonable explanation to the strange behavior, but couldn't come up with anything. What would cause memory loss and near-fatal choking? No single spell that she had heard of, atleast.
Instead, she merely sat down next to her, not minding the icy water surrounding her. "Are you okay?" she finally managed, frowning.

What just happened to me? she questioned in her mind. Her mind was blank though, there were no answers. She frowned at the whole situation. She looked back up at Lexi, "T-Thanks Lexi," she mumbled. She gulped down the air, being able to breath again was like being blessed with another life.
Charlotte didn't know what to say, she wanted to tell her friend what she had done, why she had done it. She looked up at her, terrified that it was going to happen again. She let out a cold sigh, "I need help.." she told her, her eyes almost spilling over with tears.

Lexi nodded in reference to her thanks, but didn't say anything, for she was so lost in her thoughts. What was going on? Charlotte seemed to be falling apart right in front of her eyes, and there didn't seem to be anything she could do to help. And that was the worst part, she decided: feeling so helpless.
"I know." she answered after a few minutes, barely noticing the water that had soaked through her jeans and chilled her. "What's going on, Char?" Though she didn't care to admit it, there was something like fear in her voice.

Charlotte watched her friend for a moment longer, waiting for the right time. Should she tell her? Charlotte was frightened, she didn't want Lexi to go through the same as she was going through, however she needed help and support. Charlotte had always known LExi to know what she was doing and to Charlotte she seemed strong.
Charlotte gave her one last look, "I'm scared, if I tell you, they'll hurt me again.." she whispered. She sat upright almost immediately once again, terrified, would it happen again? She waited.

They? Who was they? Deciding she was probably better off not knowing right now, Lexi furrowed her eyebrows, frowning. She was determined to help Charlotte; though normally strong and capable, she was collapsing right in front of her eyes, and it worried her to no end. For some reason, her eyes began to fill with tears, but she quickly blinked them away.
"No one's going to hurt you." Lexi promised quietly, in what she hoped was a soothing voice. "I promise, I'm not going to let anyone hurt you. What's going on?"
