Charlotte's teeth began to chatter with the cold. Lexi's reaction was calm and collected, just what Charlotte needed to hear. Her words were reasssuring and seemed to boost Charlotte's confidence in her friend. Charlotte grabbed Lexi hand once again, "What if they tell me to do something like that again..?" she asked her friend. Charlotte shook her head, Lexi wouldn't know who 'them' would be.
She watched Lexi's reaction, "I mean, I have to do what they say..." she whispered, watching all around her.

Lexi was confused, but was determined not to let it show. Charlotte didn't need any more questions; from what she could tell, her friend was overwhelmed, and any more things she asked would probably push her over the edge. She wasn't advanced in her spellwork, so she was determined to keep her calm. Or, as calm as she could manage.
"You don't have to do what anyone says." Lexi insisted, shaking her head. "No one can force you to do anything... What's going on?" she repeated once mroe.

Lexi was being persistant, and more than anything Charlotte wanted to answer her, but she just couldn't. If she told her what was going through, things could happen to Charlotte and her friend, and she just wouldn't be able to take that. "B-But they are forcing me, I can't stop them," she frowned in telling her.
Charlotte struggled to force her body to standing position, "Can't you understand, I can't tell you what's going on and who's doing it, or else they'd..." she trailed off. She was telling Lexi too much, and she knew it.

Lexi stood up as well, one foot slightly behind the other, as though bracing herself incase her friend should fall. She was still weak, clearly, and looked on the verge of collapsing. "Charlotte, you can stop them. I know you can... No one can force you to do anything."
Charlotte's voice was almost sharp as she insisted that Lexi be left in the dark, so she only sighed and nodded. Attempting to force her to talk would only do more harm than good, so it was a bad idea all around. "Just... be careful, Char. I'm here if you need me..."

Charlotte felt as though not only she had lost the battle with them but also with her friends. "Lexi, I can't do it anymore..." she told her stumbling backwards, "What if they're listening now?" she exclaimed. "I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry..." she repeated over and over, looking around her. "Don't get me again, please!" she screamed, "I can't...!" she kept lloking everywhere, letting her legs wander. OOC: Brb, in ten minutes

"Charlotte!" Lexi exclaimed, desperate to be heard over Charlotte's ever-growing screams. Her friend was frantic, unstable... She hated to use the word crazy, but nothing else seemed to fit. "No one's here except you and me!"
She longed to close her eyes and block out the shouts, in order to try to remain calm and think things over a bit, but she didn't dare close her eyes, incase Charlotte should harm herself, or Lexi. She glanced briefly around the room, then looked back over at her friend and bit her bottom lip, struggling to think of any way to help her. Any way at all.
So, she did the only thing she could think of. She walked slowly over to her and held her by the shoulders, refusing to let her wander. "No one's here, Char. No one can listen to what we're saying. Tell me what's going on." she said in determined calmness, her hold only tight enough to keep her from pulling away.

Charlotte was startled as she heard Lexi overpower her screams. Her hands gripped onto Charlotte's shoulders, making her feel somewhat secure in the situation. Her breathing was shaky and she gulped slowly. "Lexi, I want to tell you I really do..." she trailed off, quickly glancing around the room again, "But they'll find out," she said firmly.
This was probably the best point for her to push out of Lexi's grasp. But because she had a firm grip, not only did it make Charlotte feel safe, but she didn't really think she could possibly escape.

Lexi was growing more frustrated with each of Charlotte's explanation, but she took a few deep breaths to remain in determined calmness, then glanced back up at her friend. She did seem to relax slightly now that Lexi had a firm grip on her shoulders, but clearly not enough to make her realize that no one else was in the room.
"They won't find out." she insisted, shaking her head slightly, her gaze locked with Charlotte's. "No one's here, and I won't tell anyone, and you won't either. What's going on?" She seemed to be repeating the question over and over again, never yielding any results, but Lexi wasn't going to give up.

Charlotte's head was beginning to swim with thoughts once again. She needed to burst out with the information to Lexi, but her lips were almost refusing to move, revealing the truth. Her head was having an ongoing argument with the rest of her body. Neither would give in.
''They will, there is always a way for them to find out, they do it everytime," she nodded ferociously to Lexi. She obviously trusted Lexi, as she was practically the only real friend Charlotte had other than Roxy, but even then, they weren't that close.

Lexi opened her mouth to respond, to argue once more that there was no one in the room, and, as neither one of them would tell, there's no way 'they' could find out. But, she realized that the attempt was pointless. Charlotte obviously whole-heartedly believed that someone would come to harm her if she told, so she knew better than to push the subject.
"Fine." she said simply, making a mental note to keep an eye on Charlotte. She simply stared at her for a few moments, then glanced around the bathroom. Water still dampened the floor, so, just to give herself something to do, she pulled out her wand and began drying it.
