Lexi half ran, half walked into the Infirmary, Brandon held in front of her with her wand. She gently lowered him down onto the nearest bed; he looked sickly pale, a tinge that never meant anything good. Her wounds could be dealt with on her own time; his, though they had stitched themselves up well enough, could be fatal if left untreated.
Scared and not wanting to be around when he woke up, she sprinted out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Brandon stirred slowly. Still in an extremely unstable and deadly condition, he managed to rasp one word, "Bitch"
He moved his gaze to the nurse, locked eyes with her, and slipped back into unconciousness

Melody, roused when the door had slammed from a nice daydream she had been having, hurried into the main room of the Infirmary, just in time to lock eyes with the boy. Seeing at once the poorly healed scratches and the deathly pale look to him, she ran to her office, not noticing that he had, once more, passed out.
Once she returned, only moments later, she gently lifted his head and poured a potion into his mouth. Blood replenishing potion: it would surely allow him to return to the conscious world. Without waiting to see if it had worked, she pulled out her wand and began healing his wounds.

Brandon woke to see a nurse treating his wounds."T-t-thank y-y-you," He managed to stutter, whispering. He waited as the treatment began to work (hopefully).

Melody held a finger to her lips, a small gesture warming him not to speak again. Continuing to run her wand over his wounds, then her fingers to ensure that they were completely sealed, she returned her gaze to his damaged torso.
After a few minutes of this, she stood and pocketed her wand, then looked expectantly up at his eyes. "All done. How are you feelin', hun?" she asked, genuine concern in her eyes.

"I-I-I'm g-g-good," Brandon managed to stutter. He couldn't believe what had happened. He had thought he was invincible. And now, now he didn't know what to do. His power, his spirit, his will was removed from him by that battle.
And all that was left of him was a stutter

Shock. He was in shock. Moving gracefully to the cabinet in the corner, she pulled a small bottle from within it, then returned to his side and handed it to him. "Drink this, sweetie. You may feel better." she assured him, pulling up a chair next to his bed, waiting patiently for him to drink before asking any more questions.

Brandon poured the battle down his throat. It burned like fire and mad him wozy. "T-t-thank y-y-you."

His stutter hadn't gone, but Melody decided that it was just his personality. Nothing could possibly cure stutters, unless they were caused by nerves, and judging by the fact that the shock potion had made no progress, they obviously weren't.
"What's your name, hun?" she drawled in her prominent Southern accent, brushing her hair back from her face. "And what happened to you? There's no way ya could've made your way up here yourself."

"That b-b-bitch," Brandon managed to stammer out. "that bitch, Su-su-summers."

"Summers?" Melody repeated in a questioning tone, having not met any of the students yet. This was, in fact, her first day of work, he, her first patient. "Well, what actually happened, hun? You can tell me." she assured him, frowning slightly.

"S-s-she a-attacked m-me." He said, a tear sliding down his cheek. "A-and almost k-killed m-m-me."

She let out an involuntary gasp, one hand flying to cover her mouth, the other gently wiping the tear from his cheek. "Don't cry now, sweetie. Don't cry. I'll tell the Headmaster as soon as he comes around, he promised he'd see me on my first day of work..." She paused, sensing that he didn't care much about her plans to meet with the Headmaster to discuss her working privledges.
"I've always said you kids fought too much, ya'll have too much free time on your hands..." she muttered, sighing and gazing down weerily at the boy. "I'll talk to the Headmaster today..."

"t-t-thank you," he said, smiling weakly.

"There we go. That's what I wanted to see." she said more cheerfully, referring to his smile, no matter how weak it was. "Would you like to get some sleep, sweetie? It must have been a rough day for you, it's not every day I see a student cry. I can go get you some extra pillows." she offered, standing and vanishing the chair with a flick of her wand.
