Ian sat down across from a vaguely familiar girl munching her way through a stack of pancakes and sighed. His bag was full of books on the fall of the Druids and the departure of magic from the Isles . . . rather a lengthy and involved topic, unlike most Muggles realized. Multi-Cultural Magical Studies had tricked him into losing sleep again. He put a sthingyful of porridge on a plate and pulled out the books, carefully avoiding the messy legacy of breakfast . . . syrup mixed with toast crumbs and jelly in a sticky cement that threatened to glue the book to the table.

Charlotte slowly peered her way around the door. She looked out along the hall, basically too make sure it wasn't too busy. The room was almost silent, accept for the girl managing to fit five mouthfulls of pancakes at a time, every bite she took made a sloshing sound. Charlotte's tummy made a faint growlijng noise, so she finally decided to head on in. She sat herself down not far from Ian. She hadn't met many people, so she didn't expect to recognise him, which she didn't. She placed her bag on the floor, and took a slice of toast, and began to spread the butter.

Ian glanced up at the blond girl, so quietly preparing her toast, and offered her a cautious smile . . . he thought she looked familiar, which meant that she probably played Quidditch . . . thinking about it hard, he'd almost swear she was the Kinrick Seeker. "Loper, right?" Ian asked, needing to satisfy his curiousity. He took his hands from his book and grabbed a plate, grabbing toast and cutting it into straight sections, then chopping those again. He then reached for jelly and spread it across the rectangles, and began lining them up and stacking them just like little bricks . . . using the jelly as mortar. Shamelessly wasting food and delighting in it.

Zack yawned as he entered the hall for breakfast. He had gotten up early to practice alone on the pitch and decided to get something to eat first. The hall was nearly empty except for 3 people at a table. He regonised Ian and walked over, making a disgusted look at the girl. "Mr. Flanagan." He greeted Ian with a nod and a smile. "I havent seen you around much except for practise." He looked at the quiet girl a few feet down. "Ya know her?"

Charlotte looked up as she heard her name being said. She noticed another boy had joined the table, she smiled weakly at the both, "Yes, Charlotte Loper," she replied, "You?" she asked, almost confidently.

"She's on the Kinrick team I think," Ian replied, still bricking his toast together into something that was now beginning to resemble a small house. He hunted around the breakfast table for cream cheese to cement a particularly slippery bit of toast.

Zack nearly gasped as he heard the name. "Kinrick's seeker." He laughed. "You guys are so going down."

Ian chuckled and started a slanted gable made of bacon strips. His hands were fully engaged but he did glance up at them every few seconds with a small smile.

Charlotte decided to laugh a long, "Yeah, you keep wishing," she replied, in almost a whisper, turning back to her toast.

Zack clutched Ian's shoulder playfully and faked a heartattack. "There ARE quite Kinricks!" He laughed.

Charlotte rolled her eyes and shook her head, and began eating a slice of toast.
