Zena plopped herself down on her bed and tossed her bag to the floor. This week had been so full and so hectic she wasn’t exactly sure how to take it. With a heavy sigh she began to sing quietly to herself a song her mother had sang to her and her sisters when they where younger. The sweet lullaby drifted and danced along the gentle breeze coming from the window next to her bed, and smiling she closed her eyes and laid back on the soft mattress.

With his back against the wall, he waited in deathlike like silence outside the door of her bedroom, thinking and wondering until she started singing and the sound of her voice drifted. Peering around the bend of the corner, he could see her inside her room from the door, that was actually ajar. It had seemed closed before he noticed a slit, through which he viewed now for as long as he could try not to avert his eyes and stare at the floor in concentration.
He had nothing to call on her for, but found himself searching for reasons and excuses as she lay on her bed idly. It wasn't unatural and strange for him to go and see her but it was awkwardly hard to start, when things were so dramatic half the time.
Bidding his time, he'd see if he could come up with a decision to go in or not, completely forgetting the fact that she could come out at anytime and shock the living daylights out of his pondering, which was turning into daydreaming really.

After a few moments the last notes of the song rang in her ears and she opened her eyes to stare at the crimson canopy above her bed. The dim light poured through the window casting a soft orange glow around the room and she couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Things had been so strange for her lately that she had barely been able to find the time to even search around the school for Tyler or even her sister Neo. Hearing her tummy rumble deeply her thoughts turned to whether or not she should search for them or head to the main hall for something to snack on. Finally pushing herself up with her hands she sat up and peered around her room. A strange feeling as if she was being watched caused the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up slightly but she still continued to stay oblivious to the fact Tyler was standing just behind the door.

Her song had ended and he froze, instantly rooted after hearing a quiet movement, not wanting to be discovered in such a time and state unless it had to be that way. Standing outside her dorm and against the wall, thinking overly and dreaming was, in the end, quite eerie and he couldn't imagine if someone else did that to him.
Frantic in his mind which was having a battle for conversation and interaction, he closed his eyes and started having a part of him pray she didn't find him like that. Unsure and uncertain; unlike his usual self or anything random even when he started feeling amused about her being so oblivious of his presence.

Watching the orange light in the room fade to almost the perfect pink for a wonderful sunset she stood up and glanced out the window. It was about time for dinner and she guessed she would be able to find both Tyler and Neo at the main hall eating. Running her hand through her hair in hopes to settle it seeing as it was probably messy from her lying down she headed for the door. Reaching for the door knob she realized she must have had another ‘blonde moment‘ as Neo liked to call them and left it open , but she shrugged the thought off and pulled the door open only to jump at the sight of Tyler standing there. Having not expected it her hand flew to her chest and she laughed at herself for being frightened and smiled at him. “Hello“ Wondering how long he had been standing there she could feel the all too familiar rosy-ness color her cheeks and her gaze turn to the floor for a moment.

So she pulled the door open completely, swinging it wide and stood right in front of him.
For that moment, he felt like he had leaped out of his skin and his heart had stopped beating, but after that it was more nervousness overcoming than shock, for the discovery.
She probably was slightly embarassed and he could tell that she was blushing, trying to hide the awkward feeling from his presence. Who knows how long he had been there and it was strange to any sane person.
"Hey, are you....going somewhere?" He didn't even count the time nor the minutes he spent in his own world just outside, knowing she was here and coming up to her dorm from seeing her face at the window while he had been down in the fields and around school grounds, earlier. Stuck with her hello, he stumbled to loosen the conversation and waited for himself to become more normal.

Giggling softly she looked back up at him a sweet smile on her lips despite the rosy-ness of her cheeks. “Actually I was just thinking about trying to find you. I thought you might be in the main hall for dinner but it seems you were closer than I had expected.” Figuring he had just come to find her she smiled even more and shifted her weight to stand more comfortably in the doorway. “What are you up to?” The odd moment had seemed to have passed in her opinion and she found herself rather happy to see him. It was true things hadn’t been perfect lately but who is to say everything is easy and anything is perfect. Though things seemed rough Zena still wouldn’t trade it for anything. In her eyes though mistakes are made they can be forgiven and forgotten… though in truth if it was anyone else she would more than likely hold a grudge.

"I was just musing..." Whether she believed him or not, he'd have to just assume a composure, a face and a pretence that he wasn't just overthinking and wondering too much. Standing outside her open door like a stalker and be uncomfortably found. In his imagination and by the reality of them, he'd have let more a smile on his face at that moment and picked her up from where she stood but instead, he took her hand lightly and kissed it. "I wasn't up to anything, did i seem like it? What were you doing anyway? Not that i looked into your room and watched you weirdly..."
