Alex walked down the slopes of the schools property and came apon the greenhouses. He raised and eyebrown, then shrugged. He walked up to the first house and walked in. There were flowers and small trees everywhere, and the air smelt pleasent. He smiled and thought, nice and relaxing.

Lexi wandered into the greenhouses, having just come from a lecture on Herbology, which had inspired her to make her way along the rows of plants. Soft grass covered the greenhouse floor, so she slipped off her shoes, walking barefoot as she peered at the different plants. So absorbed in her thoughts, she accidently ran into someone.
She looked up, seeing a boy she'd never met, nor seen before. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she said, backing up a few steps as she smiled at him.

Alex felt someone run in to him and was surprised, "Oh it's alright, I'm still intact." He said patting himself. "I'm Alex...and you would be." He asked raising his eyebrows and smiling back.

"Lexi. Lexi Summers." Not knowing whether he was a hand shaker, though assuming that he wasn't, for he hadn't extended his hand, she slipped her hands into her pockets instead. "Nice to meet you, Alex."
She glanced around, taking in all of the scenery in the green house, then turned back to face the boy. "So, what are you doing in here? I didn't think many people come in here..."

Alex nodded, "Nice to meet you too...Lexi? Is that short for anything?" He asked smiling a little and placing his own hands in his pockets.
"Well, I guess, I just felt like looking around the grounds...and it uh smells nice in here." He said laughing a bit and looking at the floor.

Lexi laughed softly at his last comment, seeing him glance down at the floor, as though embarassed. But, why though? Was she that intimidating? She hadn't thought she was, but maybe she had been wrong...
"Yeah. Alexis, actually, but I've never really liked the name. So, everyone just calls me Lexi, it's loads easier."

Alex smiled and looked back up. "Alexis...makes sense I guess. I know how you feel, my parents had the brainy idea to name me Alexander. I'm not a big fan of that." He said with a smile.

"Alexander?" Lexi wrinkled her nose in distaste, as if the name had done her personal harm. Then, realizing that she seemed to be making fun of his name, laughed and relaxed her face. Hoping he hadn't seen it, yet knowing he had, she felt the need to explain.
"Sorry, I don't particurally like the name Alexander either. Alex, yes. Even Xander. That's a cool nickname." It was her own personal opinion, of course, but she felt the need to express it. As usual.

Alex laughed at her face. "Yeah...Alexander." He said rolling his eyes a bit "My friends call me Xander sometimes...only my parents use Alexander, when there angry." He said smiling. "Which...now that I think of if...would be quite alot. And I value your opinion on my name." he said noding in thanks.

Lexi laughed and nodded back, though in understanding. "Trust me, if you ever need an honest opinion on anything at all, you can come to me. I'm known for blunt honesty... Which, probably isn't such a good thing..."

Alex shrugged, "I like honesty, even if it hurts someones feelings...the truth hurts. I would rather not be lied to to make me feel better." he said rocking back on his heels. "I think it's a good quality." He said smiling a small bit.

Lexi returned the smile graciously, then turned back to the plants on her right side. "Thanks, you're one of the few people who think that way." she told him, stroking one of the leaves on a random plant.
The half blue, half green plant began spitting bubbles at her, and she laughed, retreating a few steps, as to get out of its range. "I love plants, even though I'm not a Herbology major."

Alex looked at her aand said, 'No problem." He glanced at the plant and raised his eyebrowns, 'I dont really like plants, I mean I like trees but not flowers and stuff like that...unless they're being chopped up into a potion." he said grinning. "Why didnt you major in herbology if you like it so much?" He asked confused.

"Because I like Divination more." she told him, a slightly challenging look in her eye, as if he were going to make fun of it. She'd gotten used to people telling her what a pointless major it was. "I take some classes from all the majors though, so I'm never missing anything."

Alex nodded, "I see, makes sinse I guess." He said grinning, noticing a spark in her eye, as if to say, I dare you to make fun of it. so he didnt. "I was never really good at divination...I'm more of a practical guy...not a crystal ball dude." he said smiling
