Slipping the golden key into the keyhole, Maia sighed as she opened the door to the Curses, Hexes, and Dark Rituals Lab. She pushedher golden blonde hair out of her eyes as she lugged a heavy bag up to the front of the room. With a thud, she dropped the package on her desk and exasperatedly collapsed in her chair. She surveyed the room, her two different colored eyes examining the scene. It was a bit dusty, but it was still good for teaching.
Maia's appearance and height made her able to pass off as a student, so she decided to play a little trick on them. Since this was her a brand new class, none of the students knew she was the professor. She sat at on one the desks near the front of the room, conjuring several books with a wave of her wand. She grinned evilly and began to twirl her hair, acting like those bubbly students of hers. Maia waited for some students to come in, and sat there, looking like she was waiting for a teacher.

Trish stopped at the entrance of the class and peeked around, but didn't see the professor, "No teacher around?" asked Trish to the only student in the class. Surreptitiously, Trish decided to put her whoopie cushion into use by placing it on the teacher's seat and casted it a spell to make it in invisible. Smiling at the girl, Trish put her index finger against her lips gesturing for her to keep quiet about what she saw. Then Trish walked over to sit around the back of the classroom, next to the window, and patiently waited for the rest of the class to arrive.

Ian pushed open the door and looked between the two girls already seated with an air of hesitant disdain. "Hmph," he said noncommittally. He knew the Knockwood curriculum called for this class to cover both the dark and light arts associated with the subject, but of course the teacher would undoubtedly lean towards one or the other. He was hoping that this professor would gear the class more towards the forbidden topics, and eager to find out what she'd be like. "Anyone know whether this Rothschild woman has any worth to her? Or is she a pandering do-gooder like the last professor was said to be?"

Zack walked in shortly after Ian. Looking around, he saw no teacher. With a shrug he sat down in the nearest seat, too drunk to do anything. "So when's this bitch getting here?" He asked, slurring his words.

At the door, he had seen only a few people in this classroom and wondered where people went when this was the first lesson. He didn't major in this subject but it made sense to pay some interest and aimlessly stood in the middle of the rows of seats before sitting behind Trish. Purely thinking of annoying her.
There didn't seem like any teacher was around and he thought of finding something entertaining to do. It was always Trish that caught his eye for fun and mockery in a classroom. Bickering was for other times.

Trish observed the students that entered the class, seeing only wolfsbanes so far, until he came along. Dammit! What the fuck is he doing here!? Trish glared seeing Tyler. Don't you dare- don't you dare, she thought shaking her head no slightly as he approached her and then finally plopping down into a seat behind her.
Trish closed her eyes and tried breathing normally. After a long moment, Trish turned around slowly to face Tyler, "What are you doing here?" she asked, her teeth clenched.
OOC: Jeez! Friggin' stalker! lol.

"It's class. Public area too you know? What are you doing here too, though?" Laughing for his luck to annoy the hell out of her, he narrowed his eyes for a moment and dumped his bag on the table before looking around to see only Aidan and zack, along with some girl he didn't recognise.
He knew she probably majored in this subject but just said anything he felt like, being careless of Trish and guessing how much she had cursed him under her breath from the moment he had entered the room.
"No need to be so 'infuriated' Trish. It's not like i came specially for you. I just like sitting behind you. But for obvious reasons.." Surpressing more laughter, he winked at her daringly and awaited a slap or something of the same sort to happen to him. Usually physically harming and hurtful. This could carry on for as long as there was no teacher in the room, or so he thought there wasn't, but what did it matter anyway? Their bickering showed good student interaction between houses and personalities...?

Lexi ran into the classroom, thinking that she must be late. She had just been out of the beach and lost track of time, a habit of hers. Checking a clock, she noticed that class didn't begin for a few more minutes, and even so, the teacher didn't seem to be around yet. With a small sigh of relief, she took a look around the classroom.
Tyler, the only one she recognized amongst the students, seemed to be in deep conversation with a girl she had never met before. Deciding immediately that it was best not to interrupt, she sank into a seat the row behind him and pulled out a book to read, to pass the time.

Ian raised an eyebrow at Zack. Who was drunk in class. "How collegiate," he muttered almost under his breath. He shook his head only slightly, a small smile of amusement on his face that he tried to cover with a closed fist. He flicked his eyes over to Trish and Ty, who seemed to be going at it as usual. Ian sighed and pulled out his wand, twirling it between his fingers and watching the light flash along the grain of the wood. He craned his neck backwards to take in the occupants of the room again, eyeing the strange girl once more, he almost would have sworn he'd seen her face somewhere before but he couldn't quite place it. Ian yawned, thinking of the common room and its lovely couches, of sitting by an open window and letting the warm breeze tickle him lightly. In his mind, he could see the stacks of parchment, the carefully arranged books on the shelves, and the entry to the hallway hung with art and portraits . . . suddenly his eyes flew open and he spun around to look at the girl again. "Do you have an older sister?" he asked her suddenly, thinking that maybe she'd had a sibling whose face he'd seen in old class portraits.

Madeline ran up the steps as quickly as her legs could take her , she had just finished breakfast and was off to her first class of the day , soon enough she thought she would see the Professor standing outside the door. So , it was not the best idea to be late to class on the first day , but what could she do? It was not like she could have gotten up or earlier or at least wanted to.This did not look familiar , and Madeline did not remember seeing her/he anywhere at Hogwarts , she checked her schedule one last time before heading toward the classroom.
Her robes hung at her ankles and swished by as she picked up her pace , she carried her books and walked up to the classroom. She smiled and headed inside the classroom , Madeline took a seat in the front of the class not because she wanted to be closer to the Professor , but just because she concentrated better. Madeline put her books and paper to the side as she looked around the classroom , there were posters everywhere and books piled up high. A few students she had noticed were already seated , Zach looked a bit knocked out or he was just recovering from a Hangover. In the back she noticed Tyler and Lexi , but that was about it everyone else seemed more like a blue to her at the moment.

Zack looked up at Ian as he asked the girl a question. Zack wondered for a minute what house she was in, never seeing her before. With a shrug he opened tthe muggle notebook he carried with him. It was thick with lose leafs sticking out. He grabbed a pen and began to scrible furiously away as it was fresh in his mind. It took only minutes before he was lost in his own world, completely oblvious to everyone around him.

Trish sighed and turned around to face the front, not bothering to answer his question because she knew he knew that Trish was majoring in the subject and chose to say whatever he liked to annoy her...Good thing I meditated before class; otherwise, I'd have bashed his head, she thought.
Trish heard what Tyler said next. She could hear his laughing and even visualize him winking at the back of her head. Clenching her teeth, Trish moved up front a bit, putting some distance between her and Tyler, lest she mauled him in the middle of class.

Madeline leaned back in her chair , it seemed like maybe she was taking this class more serious that it looked. She looked back over at everyone , they seemed all in their most craziest moods that she would have ever thought they even had. A few times she saw Zach writing , but what possibly was he taking notes or maybe he was just scribbling some random drawing that may of made its way to his head. She sighed , "What in bloody hell is going on here?" , she murmured under her breath.

Bored with Trish and her reactionless person, he finally paid attention to the people who had entered and turned to be facing Lexi with a rejuvenated mind and different source of entertainment. Although Lexi wasn't really entertainment but more of a close friend, he let his mind think that way and simply, quite rudely but cheekily, put his hand flat on her book to say hi. He'd not disturb her for too long.
From where he was, he couldn't see Madeline and only half of zack's figure seemed to appear within his range of vision even though he should be able to see very clearly. If nothing was going to happen soon, he'd decide to sleep for awhile, though he'd wake up in whatever sense when the teacher or rest of the class arrived. There was a need to pass out for the boring and energy draining minutes anyway.

Lexi looked up when a hand pushed her book down, and she looked up to find Tyler grinning cheekily at her. She couldn't resist rolling her eyes as she marked the page, then looked back at him with an amused expression, as if she were facing a small child who desperately wanted attention.
"Yes?" she asked, raising an eyebrow as she leaned back on her seat, crossing her arms loosely over her chest. He looked bored, as if looking to her for entertainment, and she couldn't help but wonder why he had turned to her for amusement. Unless he was planning on ruffling her hair again. One could never be so sure.
