Appearance: Maia is a tall girl with a slender figure and gentle curves, which comes off as being very delicate and feminine, further concealing from obvious view her powerfully vicious nature. She has finely carved features, with smooth, pale peach skin. Very much a natural beauty, her eye lashes are thick and dark, while her pretty, subtly pouty lips hold a pale rose tint. Her figure is slender and well-balanced, yet obviously not the least bit muscular. She almost appears soft, as opposed to toned in any way.

Her hair is long and blonde, waving and curling around her shoulders. The blonde is natural gold, the same color as runs in her mother's family, and it highlights her pale skin. The cut is almost layered, hanging around the middle of her arms at the longest parts, and around her chin at the shortest. Her eyes are deep and piercing, as runs in her family. The left is dark green with lime green flecks, brilliant and light, while the right appears almost as if damaged. The edges of it are very dark, vivid red, bleeding into a deep red-violet nearest the pupil.

Age-wise, she appears to be very young – barely even an adult, but then again, there are many things that are not as what they appear to be with Maia. Upon her right hand is a long scar, which is also on the palm.
Personality: Quiet and confident, Maia is the type of person that seems to know her way around any situation. She is spontaneous in that her decision making is usually quick - and sometimes rash - but she's not usually prone to foolhardy behavior and can hardly be considered overly emotional. There are exceptions to this, but not terribly many. Somewhat distant, she has a rather jaded outlook on life, and lately seems to be nothing but the ultimate pessimist. She is blessed - or perhaps cursed - with a fantastic amount of pride that sometimes comes back to haunt her.

Manipulative and deceitful, Maia is not someone to cross. She is vindictive, but calculated, clever, and she has a very long memory. A slight against her family or herself is not something she is ever likely to forget. The more angry she is about something, the less likely she is to act immediately upon her rage. She will let it fester until quite suddenly, it boils over and all hell breaks loose. The longer she has to consider, plot and obsess over something, the more vindictive she will ultimately become. Obsession is no stranger to her, causing her to take vicious swings between her more sane self and her often compulsive behavior. Her moods can never be plotted, going back and forth between calm contentedness and brutal sadism at random.

Maia prefers to work alone, she is fiercely independent, and generally very reliable because of her good memory, obsession with details and relentless approach to any task she is handed. If you want something done and done correctly, Maia is the one to see. While she may be quiet most of the time, she does have a pretty sharp tongue. She is not above lying to get what she wants, but she can be very direct, almost frightfully so at times. She tends to have a mocking quality to her voice, letting people know exactly where they stand with her – nowhere at all.
Why you are qualified/deserve this position:
Maia: Maia attended Knockwood herself and was always interested in this subject more so than the others. She was hired after majoring in Curses, Hexes, and Dark Rituals by the Headmaster. She is very clever and can accomplish anything. She knows tremendous amounts of information and wishes to teach it all in one semster to her students.
Me: I have been on RPG sites for about 7 months now, and I think I am a good enough writer to fill this position. I think it would also be fun.

[Melody Simone]

Name: Melody Simone

Position you are applying for: Nurse

School you attended: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was sorted into Hufflepuff, then, upon graduation, went to Marcelli's Acadamy of Nursing and Medicine.

Specialties: Overall, she is a skilled nurse in all of the fields needed, though she particurally thrives in brewing quick potions to cure even the strongest of hexes and diseases.

Years of experience: 8 years

Age: 32

Appearance: Melody has a bit of a hippie look to her, usually found wearing long skirts and flowing tops, and a variety of rings and necklaces. Though most unusual, particurally in a college environment, she seems to blend in with the crowd anyway.

She has long, dark brown hair that varies in styles, sometimes very plain and straight, and sometimes found in elaborate curls. She has bright blue eyes which stand out from her pale, heart-shaped face, and her height is strictly average. She has a flowing frame, though very skinny, as if a gust of wind could blow her easily into the next country over. Nothing about her appearance, other than her taste in vestige, would make her stand out in the eyes of a passer-by.

Personality: Though her appearance somewhat suggests a calm, easy-going woman, the reality differs greatly. Young enough to be able to still relate to the students-- or so she believes, anyway-- she asks them to call her Malody. Madam Simone, apparently, "sounds too old" for her. She is a complete softie in terms of the young people, and allows people to come and go from the Infirmary as they please. She often asks for only three visitors at a time per patient, though rarely enforces this rule.

A cheery, light-hearted and bubbly woman, she allows kids to visit her during their class times, even if they are simply faking sick, because she finds the idea of it rather amusing and flattering. She has a strong southern accent, and most of her sentences include "sweetie", or "hun".

Although she is sweet and tries desperately to be accepted by the students, if someone is critically sick, her personality warps into someone most unlike her usual self. She becomes strict and purely for business. She'll only allow one visitor at a time, if that, and forces the patient to stay a few days longer than necessary, simply to make sure that they have fully recovered. She cares very much about her job, and will not let anyone jeopordize it, even if it means disagreeing with a pupil [though, the tends to avoid those situations whenever possible.]

Why you are qualified/deserve this position:
Melody: While somewhat of a pushover, she values her job tremendously, and will put student's health above all. She graduated top of her class at the Academy, and truely knows all of her potions, creams, and antedotes.
Me: Because I've owned more sites than I can count, and I'm just awesome. =] And I think I RP well enough to be the nurse... and no one ever really wants to be one, aside from me.

Name: Melanie Cerulean

Years of Experience/Age: twenty eight years old, taught for two years.

Appearance: Melanie makes sure she keeps her 'look' simple and organized, trying to be professional and take her job seriously. She wears clean-cut blouses for tops, nice slacks and skirts for bottoms.

She's curvy and tall, with a slightly oval face and fair skin, a few freckles across her nose. Melanie's gray-blue eyes could be defined as either 'harsh' or 'helping' depending on what kind of mood you catch her in. She has long, mildly-wavy red hair that she often keeps pulled back out of her face.

Personality: Melanie, in one word, is a perfectionist. She likes everything neat and tidy, orderly and perfect. If she has an envisionment of something in her mind- shelves being aligned a new way, creating a reading guide, or whatever- it has to come out exactly how she plans it, otherwise she starts again from scratch.

Her perfectionist attitude can put off people, but those who get past that barrier in Melanie's personality discover that she's quite a friendly person. She'll lend an ear to those who need to talk, but she doesn't always do much of the talking herself. She'd rather help than be helped, making her awfully stubborn.

That's another thing that can put people off- her stubborn nature. If Melanie is set on doing something alone, she won't accept help; even if she needs it. Because she was once a teacher, she loves to help teach people. She usually thinks she's right, and while oftentimes she is, when she isn't she doesn't like to accept it.



Why you are qualified/deserve this position:

Melanie: Melanie attended Salem Witches' Institute, and then Knockwood. At Knockwood she discovered her love for teaching. When she graduated she went back to Salem and began teaching their Historical Magic class. However, because of her perfectionism and stubborn ways, she didn't quite fit the job. As a librarian, she has plenty of background knowledge of books, and a helpful nature.

Me: I've been role-playing for awhile now, some amount of months. While I generally role play students, I've have role played a staff member or two, and find them interesting to portray. Plus, I wanted to be a librarian when I was younger, they're cool, and you need one. ^^
