Brandon awoke slowly. "Are they gone?" he asked sheepishly. "And sorry about before."

Lexi grinned and waved his apology off, just relieved that he was awake. "Don't worry about it, you had warned me. I knew it was coming. But yeah, they're gone." Once again, she held out her hand to help him up.

And once again, Brandon grasped Lexi's hand. "So now that that's done, I say go in." He took out his wand, held it at the ready, and made the first step into the dark, deslote ruins.

Lexi followed him in, sunlight filtering in through the many holes in the thatched roof, and the floor seemed to be tilted. Struggling to remain upright, she looked around the house. It seemed normal enough, apart from the fact that no one seemed to live there. She felt no sense of horror, no unexplainable magic, nothing.
She looked at Brandon, confused. She had expected something much more impressive than a rundown shack.

Brandon met Lexi's gaze and nodded. This place was basically worthless. He wandered over to a corner of a room and gasped. A yo-yo, a basic muggle toy, was strangling a bird! "Lexi!" He called. "I think this place is more special then it looks."

Lexi ran over when she heard her name, and gasped at the sight before them. "Ew, ew, ew. Arresto Momentum!" she said firmly, and the yo-yo fell frozen to the ground. The bird, seemingly glaring at the toy, then flew off through the open window.
She shuddered, prodding the yo-yo gently with the tip of her shoe. "I don't think I like this place much."

"I don't think we're supossed to." Brandon said, walking around the ruins and looking at some of the items. "Look at this!" he said, beckoning Becca over to a wall. "See how you can make out a shimmer behind that wall? I don't think that this is a wall....." he said suspiciously. He took out his wand, used Finite Incantum, and was astonished to see the wall dissapear to reveal two objects, a ruby sword and a goblet with the letter "h" on it. "This is cool," he said, grinning.

Lexi, without thinking of the consequences, plunged her hand through the air and grasped the goblet. "You know, this is kind of cool..."
She held the shimmering cup up to the light, and the "H" shone brightly in the sun. "These seem really valuable too... This is too cool." Tracing the letter and the seal absentmindedly, she barely noticed the weird feeling beginning to seep through her.

"Lexi?" Brandon asked. There was no response. "Lexi?!" "LEXI?!?!?!" He shook her violently, but there was still no response. Her eyes were distant and he paced around hurringly, tyring to think of something to do. "Evennerate!" he cast on Lexi, but there was no effect. He sihged, holding his head in his hands.

Lexi felt a cold, icy feeling creep through her body far too late. She was still there, but she was looking down on the scene, as if outside of her body. She no longer had control of her hands, her mouth, her eyes... Nothing.
"Brandon!" she called, though she knew immediately that it would have no effect. He couldn't hear her; she couldn't even hear herself. Something was definately wrong...

Suddenly, a voice spoke from Lexi's body. It wasn't hers, no, it was definetly a man's voice, though extremely high pitched.
"The fools who have stumbled upon this grave To those how foolish, to those how brave Your soul is mine, and mine to keep So near and far, my rule may reap
And now my servant, I summon thee To keep my servants young and free My true brother, the second true heir I summon you, my snake, mudbloods beware!"
Brandon stumbled back as Lexi, though it was not really her, used "Serpentsortia!" and a basilisk appeared. By using Oppungo, lexi was able to control the basilisk and sick it on Brandon.
"Lexi!!" He called in desperation. "Please!!!! I need your help!!"

Lexi struggled to return to her body, but try as she might, she couldn't move. It was as if invisible ropes were binding her to pure air, so she was forced to simply watch the scene, tears pricking at the back of her eyes. "Brandon! The sword!" she called, though was almost positive that the effort was futile; she hadn't even heard the words coming from her own mouth, how could he?

A faint whisper, a glimmer of the past, escaped Lexi's lips, "Ord." Ord? Brandon thought, confused. What the hecks an ord? He looked around the room for a possible reference to what she was referring to, sprinting to avoid the fangs. Board? no. Cord? Yes, there was a few cords still here, but I can't do anything with them. Ford? No, there's no muggle car near here He sighed heavily, glancing at the space where was sprung
A red glimmer caught his eye. "Of course!" he shouted in triumph. "The sword!!"
He dived for the sword, narrowily avoiding another attack from the basilisk.
Lexi, at that moment, called the basilisk to devour the sword. The basilisk dived for the sword at the same time as Brandon. Brandon reached his hand around the sword, first, however, and swung it in a backhanded slash. The basilisk recoiled, defeated, a fang laying dangerously close to Brandon's shoulder.
"LEXI!!!" he called in triumph. "I did it! I won!"
He went over to her, but his joy quickly evaporated when he saw her. "Lexi?!?!" he asked angrily. "How can I get you back?!?"

All at once, Lexi felt a swooping sensation in the pit of her stomach, and she clutched it, looking down at her fingers. Her fingers. She wiggled her fingers slightly, then her whole arm, and beamed at Brandon. She was back in her body, for now, atleast.
"That was great! I saw what you did, good thinking on your part. Well, my part too." she said, not taking the time to consider modesty. Seemingly unconcerned about the near-death experience, she continued to wander around the small room. The eerie discomfort had never lifted from her shoulders, and with a quick glance at Brandon, she was sure that it hadn't from his either. Something about this house was so utterly wrong, but she couldn't explain it, apart from the fact that dark magic was obviously in place.
