After Brandon had encountered countless rumors about the legendary beast in the cursed cave, he mustered up the courage to journey into it. He heard a soft growl in the depth of the cave and Brandon jumped. He decided that it was now or never. He took a step into the darkness, unsure if he would ever emerge.

Lexi sat deep in the cave, submerged in the darkness, pressing into her on all sides. She often came here to be able to think, to think up new Quidditch tactics, or to simply be alone and get away from everyone else.
Sitting in absolute stillness, she heard approaching footsteps, and froze. Holding her breath, she strained her ears. Yes, definately footsteps. Human footsteps. Grinning to herself, and knowing full-well of the legends in this cave, she gathered her voice deep within her throat and let out a low, menacing growl.

Brandon walked cautiously into the unknown, coming to a fork in the path. He stood absolutely silent for a moment, trying to detect the smallest amount of motion from either option. Finally, a pebble scurried in the distance, along the left path. He walked over to the sound and was able to make out a faint outline of a human. He gulped, and took a step back. He was over a mile in the cave, he doubted another normal person would be here. He took out his wand, ready for an attack.

Lexi turned towards the sound of the footsteps, and saw a figure looming ever closer, wand at the ready. From what she could see from the outline, it was probably a male.
She had always liked scaring people, particurally boys, for they usually liked to act tough. She knew scaring a wizard would be very risky, especially because his wand was already drawn, but she didn't stop to think of the consequences. Stepping silently off the rock, she strolled towards him along the wall, trying to make her walk eerie and ghostly. Finally, when she had gotten close enough, she jumped out into the middle of the path, shouting "BOO!" as loudly as she could, her voice echoing off the cave walls.
She then double over laughing, nearly in tears from her cleverness.

Startled by the creature's outburst, Brandon shouted the first spell he could think of, Aguamenti, and watched as the creature was repelled three feet backwards by a sudden stream of water. He then paused, realizing that the creature laughed. So it probably wasn't a creature after all.
He walked over to the person and gasped, realizing it was lexi. "Sorry Summers," he said, reaching out a hand to help pull her off the ground.

Lexi laughed again, shaking her now-wet hair out of her eyes as she gladly took his hand, pulling herself up. The spell had done no real harm, apart from a few scratches along her back when she had been propelled along the ragged ground, and it was all in good fun. She wasn't one to get mad over something she had likely caused herself.
"No problem, wanted to scare you. It worked, didn't it?" she said playfully, still quite proud of herself. "Some people actually believe there is some sort of monster in here. It's stupid, really. I've been here more times than I can count, and I have yet to hear or see any kind of creature."

Brandon had began to speak when a low "ROARRRRR" was emmited a mile or so down the cave. It was obvious that this roar was not at all made by a human, at least not a human in today's society. He gulped, turned to Lexi, and raised an eyebrow. "Then what do you call that, Summers?" he asked, trying to hide his fear of the situation.

Lexi could sense that he was scared, but couldn't find the emotion in herself. Calm as usual, she shrugged, squinting into the darkness towards the middle of the cave. "I don't know... maybe someone had the same idea I did?" she suggested, though knowing full well that a human could not have possibly uttered the cry they had heard.
Still squinting into the darkness, she lit the tip of her wand, holding it at arm's length in front of her as she took average-paced, though cautious steps towards the sound.

Brandon stumbled along after her, occasionaly tripping on a rock or stone. AFter a long journey, they eventually came to a stone wall. He beckoned Lexi over to it, puzzled on how to get through.
ooc: It's supossed to be in britain, but deal with it.

Lexi followed Brandon over to the wall, placing her hand on the cold stone. It seemed indestructable. Her wand already pointed directly ahead of her, she tried a series of spells to try to move or transfigure it, but each was in vain. The wall loomed over them, as tall and solid as ever.
She pocketed her wand, trying to push the wall out of their way, though the attempt was only half-hearted. If magic couldn't move it, why should brute strength be any different? Sighing in defeat, she leaned her scratched-up back against it, and suddenly, felt the stone behind her warm.
She glanced at Brandon, wide-eyed, as the wall behind her grew hot, and then nothing. With a small yelp, she fell backwards through it, though when she looked up, there was nothing there. Instead of the tall, stone wall, an entrance stood where she had leaned against only moments before. In shock, she stood up, still staring at the entrance.

Brandon gasped as the wall de-materialized. "It must be magic," he joked half heartingly, to cover up the fear that now consumed him. He gulped, feeling through the space that the wall once occupied. "Well then," he said, shaking slightly. "Do you wanna go back, or-" he stopped, mid-sentence, looking back the way they had came. Where a cave wall once stood, a beach now laid, cold and unfamiliar. "I guess we can't go back," he said, shrugging.

Lexi laughed softly, though it was devoid of the light that usually accompanied laughter. The thrill of an adventure and, though she'd never admit it, fear now filled her body, and she brushed the dirt off the back of her jeans as she looked around them.
Beaches had always been one of Lexi's favorite spots, but this one seemed different somehow. There was no sound of gulls flying overhead, no children running along the sand, the waves licking at their feet, no signs of sandcastles anywhere. This beach was empty and cold, and sent shivers down her spine.
"Where are we?" she asked pointlessly, for she knew he probably had no idea either.

Brandon sighed, looking around. "Someplace where we don't wanna be," he concluded, sincing as a vicious wind pierced his body. He looked around, only finding a run down building up on a cliff overhead. "I think we're supossed to go in," he said, returning to the cave entrance.

Lexi glanced over at the building, which loomed over them atop a tall cliff and looked as if a strong gust of wind could blow the whole structure over. It was sagging on one side, and from what she could see from where she stood, looked as if no one had ventured inwards for years. There was a presence around it, one that warned them not to get too close, but she couldn't help feeling a pang of excitement. She had wanted an adventure; she was getting an adventure.
"Yeah, guess we should." she decided, her voice raised over the soft howling of the wind, nodding and starting towards the cliff, her feet sinking slightly in the damp sand.

Brandon sighed and followed her. As they made their way up the path to the ruin, serpents made their way onto the path. They seemed to twist and turn in unison, as if controlled by a more powerful being. Brandon gulped as a huge python made its way towards them. He shouted "Incendio," at it, but the attempt was in vain. They hadn't even made it to the ruin and they were already in mortal danger. He glanced at Lexi with fear in his eye. He knew this was a bad idea
