Zack stood slowly, wincing from the fading but still strong headache. He walked the few short steps to her and wrapped his arms about her shoulder, leading her towards the blackness of the cave. He began walking , "off we go."

Lexi, her voice caught in her throat from the adventure they were about to go on, only managed a nod and slung one arm loosely around his waist. After a few moments of silent walking, however, she felt the need to break the mounting tension. And luckily, she found that her voice, somewhat miraculously, had been returned to her. "So, have you ever been this far into the cave?" she asked, squinting into the darkness ahead of them.

"No, I've never ventured far enough." Zack was scanning the walls of the cave as they lit up from his wand. "Not sure why though. I'm a curious kind of guy, just never....did." He shrugged.

That explains it, Lexi thought grimly as her other hand grasped her wand. It was natural to be curious about the cave; after all, it was dark and mysterious, and with the terrifying stories that accompanied it, anyone with a sense of adventure would want to explore it. However, not if they had seen the dangers first hand. "Oh. There's a lot of weird things in here... just, keep an eye out." she warned.

Zack smiled as he looked at her. "Weird huh?" He gazed curiously around the cave, leaving Lexi's side and walking ahead, not to far as to leave her in the dark. He turned around and looked back at her. "What type of weird things lovely?"

"You know... weird things. So far, I've seen snakes, dementors, and some shack that ended up possessing me and forcing me to send a basilisk after Brandon." Lexi explained, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked past him, still squinting into the darkness, trying to make sure that nothing would randomly jump out at them.

Zack looked at the top of the cave. "A Bailisk after Brandon? Doesnt sound to bad." He chuckled lightly as he turned around and kept walking. "Come now slow poke. Let's find your shack?"

"You're either really brave, or an idiot." Lexi called after him, jogging to catch up and walk by his side again. "Let's not find my shack. It was really creepy... Strange things. Like a yo-yo strangling a bird. That doesn't happen in normal houses, even if there is magic around."

Zack gave her an odd look before bursting out in laughter. "I'd love to enter your mind once." After a moment he stopped, spotting a fast movement ahead of them. "Lex? I am an idiot." He smiled as he made to follow after whatever was ahead of them.

"Is your brain completely empty or something?" Lexi asked, frantically grabbing his arm and knocking lightly on his head. "Yeah. Seems hollow. But really, don't go following whatever's over there. It's nothing good, trust me. Never is."

Zack chuckled as Lexi knocked on his head. "Quit, I need that for Quidditch." He began moving forward again, dragging her with him.

"Zack, really, this is stupid. Let's just go back." Lexi said, releasing his arm, though made no sign of leaving. Instead, she continued walking with him, her wand held in front of her, ready for whatever was going to come.

Zack continued to walk anyways until eventually coming to a dead end. "This isnt right..." He said softly.

Lexi walked ahead and placed a hand against the stone, running her fingers along it. It seemed solid, as solid as the rest of the cave walls, and she frowned. Despite her longing to retreat back to the cave entrance, she had started to enjoy the adventure. And now, it seemed, it had come to an end. "This is wei--" She was cut off by a low growling coming from somewhere behind them, and froze, not daring to turn around.

"Look It's fluffy." Zack said, the cheerfulness gone from his voice. He had turned around and was now staring at a wicked look creature that good almost be mistaken for an over grown mutt. Almost...
