She smiled at his words of caution, shrugging. "It's not that big of a deal, to be honest. I just take a few laps around the grounds, it's really beautiful in the dark. And I don't think anything could happen to me." It wasn't courage or arrogance that filled her words, as she didn't think she couldn't get hurt. However, because everyone else was usually sleeping when she flew around outside, she found herself sure that she wouldn't get hurt, unless it was fully her fault. "You should try flying at night sometime."
Then, for she finally seemed to understand his hint, she started towards the window, gently leading him to it. Once there, she looked up at the sky, basking in the glow from the moon and stars.

"Not that big a deal yet but you never know.." He said this as if he was a know-it-all and that she had no idea what she was in for should anything happen, like she was overlooking some very important things when it wasn't like that. Smirking as he peered out of the window and saw a few dark images below, he slipped his hand alittle from hers and swung it in a mild swaying motion. Strangely enough; it was such an inappropriate thing to do at that time.
"I'll try it sometime, anytime really. Might be fun and probably just as nice as you say. Would you have anything but the moonlight and stars light the way when you flew in the dark? It must be serene but how beautiful is it really? Except for lovers of the night, i suppose it is easy to say so."

Feeling him slightly pull his hand away, Lexi slipped her hand from his, returning it to her side. She glanced at him quickly, then returned her gaze to the window. "No, I don't have anything else to guide my way. I carry my wand with me, of course, should I need it, but I'd rather rely on the stars. I only fly on clear nights, so darkness is never a problem."
Her words, though still calm, suggested that she knew perfectly well what she was doing, and found no harm in a bit of a risk. "Something bad could happen at any time. While I'm here, talking to you, I could suddenly be struck by lightning and die on the spot. But really, I'd rather take a bit of a risk and do something I love, something so calming and yes, beautiful, than refrain from doing so. I could get hurt doing anything, I'd rather do it flying than anything else."

"So the feeling of flying and doing something you love is so great? It would be awful if there was lightning right this moment but i have known someone to die randomly just like that. It was without warning but nothing i'll carry on with to make our time odd." He gave her a smile that was more reassuring than any he had given and that she had seen before since he preferred being cheeky or just plain strange. His facial expressions tended to swing with his emotions a little too much and yet staying nonchalant was a goal easily reached.
There was no touch of her hand now but it was still natural and he put both his hands in his pockets, warming them up increasingly and equally. "Flying is most enjoyable, i'm guess you're the kind of person who likes feeling on air? like soaring and just care free? I see why darkness isn't anywhere near a problem now. There's still that saying that there's no gain when there's no pain. And the other one that is just pleasure from pain."

Lexi nodded and returned the smile, thinking both his and her words over for a moment. In the silence, she continued searching the sky for stars, resting her hands on the window sill in front of them.
"Yeah, I love flying. It's defying gravity... it gives me the feeling that I can do anything. If I can oppose one of the greatest forces in the world, I can handle the little problems life throws my way, you know? Do you feel like that?" She had assumed that everyone did, for nearly everyone she met enjoyed flying, but maybe she was unique in that way.
"And I do believe there is gain without pain. It's like watching a plant grow, or listening to a child's laugh; it shows that they're happy, and that helps them grow. They gain joy and health, without the pain that they 'should' feel, as society in general thinks."
Her opinions, both very blunt and honest, often went against others' views. However, even if Tyler disagreed, she felt sure that he would not be upset. Feeling comfortable, she turned to face him for the first time since they had moved over to the window, though kept her eyes locked on the stars.

"You have too good a point! I like that feeling and i sometimes think so too but i also bear in mind too greatly that defying can only easily be turned around or what not." Tyler leaned back against the section of the wall, a pillar more like that was next to the window, watching as she placed her hands on the sill and continued to look out though she faced him and talked to him.
"Society often doesn't think or they just don't think enough. They decreed laws and boundaries without too much hesitation or consideration in my opinion; much like Damnant quod non intellegunt...and by that i mean condemning what they don't understand. It's not even acceptance in many cases. But i guess this is just leading to another debatable topic so yes, i have felt the same as you, and liked the feeling."
He was suddenly overly passionate about his opinions or just made simple statements while knew the words were rolling off his tongue too fast, needing to shut his mouth to fight them back. There was nothing to disagree with and he wasn't emotional or able to get upset by a mere discussion based conversation. He wouldn't be here if he didn't like talking like this with her or anyone else who had showed him kindness, for that matter.

Lexi nodded as she listened to him, as he agreed to everything she had said, though elaborated a bit more than she had. "I agree, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds such pleasure in flying."
Having nothing more to say, she kept her mouth closed rather than speaking words with no importance. Nearly everything she said had meaning and emotion behind it, and she would rather not change the fact. Speaking just to fill silence was often worse than the silence itself, she felt.
So, she gazed out the window again, almost longingly, as if caught in a daydream she couldn't shake. Every once in a while, she risked a glance at him, smiling if, by some chance, she caught his eye. The silence didn't seem to bother her, but she waited, in case he had something to say, or to ask.

"You won't be the only one, there'd be plenty of other people who'd feel the same." It was like a drastic measure to answer but only because he had problems dealing with silence; when he was alone silence was bliss but when there was someone, potentially able to talk so well with him it was just not correct.
He didn't know what to say or ask though, having had something on his mind but forgetting it as if memory was nothing and he'd just throw it away whenever he liked.
Her small glances occasionally met his eye and eventually he was pushed to rest on paying deliberate attention to it, debating her softly forlorn expression as she looked longingly out the window. It was late and he was depriving her of a good night's dream though he didn't want to leave; embarassingly stubborn to wait for the minutes and until she'd rather he was gone.

Under normal circumstances, she wouldn't have responded, and would have waited a few moments to test if the silence between them was comfortable or not. However, Tyler seemed to dislike the silence, so in order to spare him the anxiety, she replied without hesitation.
"Oh, you're good at making a girl feel special, so unique. How ever do you do it?" she teased, rolling her eyes and shooting him a smile. It wasn't much of a response, not one to send him into deep trances of thinking, but for once, she had nothing else to say. She barely knew this boy, but knew a lot about him; at the same time, she knew both nothing and everything there was to know about him. It sent her into a small fit of confusion, brought upon by herself, but she quickly shook off the feeling.
Determined to keep her gaze away from him, and hoping that her actions didn't give off the impression that she'd rather be left alone, she glanced down at her hands, painfully aware of how awkward they seemed. She folded them in front of her, then rested them on the window sill, and finally decided to mimick his posture and slip them into her pockets.

Opening his mouth, he found nothing but silence and shut it again to give her a look of incredule before looking away and upwards, speaking at long last when he found his voice again. "Making a girl feel special could be a good thing but i don't say or do things purely to make people feel good? And.." He cut off but dragged the link word before taking his hands out off his pockets, reaching over and taking a step closer because it was too far to mess up her hair for the second time. His hand in the air and barely brushing the strands of her hair yet, being just plain annoying with that action.
"I have no idea how i do that. Whatever made you want to say that to break the silence? I know you save me more often than not for sure now." There was something about her bluntness that sincerity but why was she so 'shy' now?Avoiding though he knew she wasn't wishing he'd leave, more like trying to think of something to make things more comfortable since her movement and body langauge told him so. Why else would she fold her hands and daze off? He wanted to smack his forehead and clear his thoughts but couldn't and spoke too soon in automatic response to teasing. It was like a mode in his person that could just be selected. "aw, but it's nice that i can make you feel special? maybe?"

Lexi watched as he took a step closer, only to roll her eyes and grin at his action. Much like a younger brother intent on annoying an older sibling, he reached out so that he was just short of touching her, and she silently cursed herself for being taken in by the boy so easily. She had no chance; she knew it, and yet she was letting her feelings get in the way of everything.
Without her realizing it, the smile slid off her face, and she let out a small sigh, ignoring his hand and looking out the window again. "Oh yes, nice. Wonderful." she said back sarcastically, hoping that her voice didn't sound bitter as she fought her internal war.
She leaned her back against the wall, thinking, fighting, and dreaming, though making sure she still touched base with reality. "Yeah, you don't seem to like silence much. I figured I'd help you out a bit."

Her sudden change in reaction startled him but he tried to hide it and let his hand fall but onto her shoulder, staying there as he studied her; the grin fading only alittle because she only seemed to be stressed over something. He took another step to her and looked down at her intently, his expression almost more concerning than he could help. Even when he was still smiling at her, since the grin had faltered. "What do you think would be wonderful to you then? It's almost as if i can't help you but you do so much."
Saying this may only make it worse and he was sure of that; unable to bear the dawning silence that brought coldness with it this time. So daringly and yet dismissively of her emotions because he was oblivious, he slid his hand to her face so he could turn her back to him by her chin as she leaned against the wall. "Silence isn't always bad though...I only miss talking when it's meaningful. To be silent can be a gift."

Lexi bit her tongue to keep words from spilling through her lips, things that she didn't want him to know, or just didn't want to admit outloud. To have opinions in her mind was one thing; to speak them would make them true and undeniable, and she wasn't sure she was ready for that just yet.
"I'm alright. Really." she insisted. And it was true... well, partly, atleast. She couldn't complain over something as trivial as her feelings.
When he turned her head to face him, she forced a small smile, yet made no move to turn her head away. Locking eyes with him, she listened to his views on silence.
"And I agree. I don't mind silence, when it's with someone you're comfortable with. If people simply stopped speaking when they have nothing to say, it would make the world a lot less complicated and confusing. The problem is, they don't, and they end up rambling about things, which usually causes problems."

The smile was so strained, tenous and thin; he could see through her more now but he didn't like that fact he couldn't do anything because there were no starts or ends. She wasn't going to say all the things she needed to in order to release her emotions that had built up during their time, but if she needed to she truly could and he'd understand.
"Really? Only kind of all right though." It was sceptically put and he didn't take his hands away from his face but rather took the other out of his pocket to cup them both on her cheeks, looking serious all the while as she held a firm gaze. How was it that she could be so sure by looking into his eyes and yet have a hint of mysterious denial over her feelings; the way she spoke revealed enough to contrast even just a little. It was a thought not a question because she obviously had her reasons. It'd be the same if he were in her position and he'd never utter a word just because, so he couldn't press on; it'd be harsh.
"Rambling can bring a new light to someone or something? What happens if rambling did not include the untrue and false? Those are the things that cause most problems in the long term not true things...though true things can have potential to make everything difficult; the result is more worth it?"

Lexi took a deep breath, just gazing at him for a few moments, then placed her hands on the tops of both of his and drew them away from her face. Her forced smile had disappeared, and her eyes shone with sadness, fear, and worry.
She usually didn't let her emotions show, and she silently scolded herself for being so weak now. Truth has the potential to make everything difficult, wasn't that what he had just said? Lies made things impossible, but the truth sometimes made things unbearable.
"Don't do this to me, Tyler..." She hadn't released his hands, but held them loosely inbetween them, her touch gentle and barely there. To admit her true feelings likely meant to lose a friendship she had wished to never lose, for they got along so well. She gazed first down at her shoes, then up into his eyes, though saying no more.
