In the end he'd have no choice but to face the fact that she was going to dwell on her feelings, turning them into pain gradually. They would all be mixed up and some part of it was already evident and growing iminent through her expressions and eyes; he never even thought there was so much eyes could say.
"I would ask about what i'm doing to you but, i know...i'm sorry and i know how it is going through your mind. Not everything but some." There was pretty much no other way when it came to the truth and she just had to hold on to herself and make it through. When she took his hands away from her face, he was reluctanct because it defined his powerlessness to change some things, though he wouldn't upon option anyway. As she turned away, he felt like he had already lost her in the depths of her own inner balance but when she gazed back up, he was relieved and gripped her loose hands so the touch wasn't a mere fantasy.

Lexi nodded, though the movement was slight, almost as if it wasn't there at all. Drawing a deep breath, she managed a smile, no matter how small it may have been, and dropped his hands. She was stronger than this; she knew she was.
Running one hand through her hair absently, she turned her gaze back to the window. The stars were still shining brightly as ever, and the mere picture seemed to bring her strength. The stars, never changing, were still there. Maybe it was because they offered stability, or perhaps because they had always inspired awe and hope inside her, but she felt a bit better already.
Letting out her breath in a small sigh, she returned her gaze to him. "Sorry about all this. I don't know what's gotten into me lately... I'll blame PMS." The fact that she could joke again brought a small smile to her face.

Laughing quietly, he turned from her and brought the palm of his hand, that she had dropped, to his forehead before letting out a breath that blew away the suspense.
"You're going to blame something like that? That was real random. But you don't have to apologise; never need to." Keeping his hand on his forehead though it was only his wrist that rested there now and his hand was limp, he saw her smile faintly and was glad for it.
"PMS is going to disappear sometime isn't it? Then you're going to have to blame something else, and i'm wondering what next now since this accusation was so. . .random!" He couldn't find another word that represented randomness at that moment and the six letters just mixed and matched repeatedly in his head while he took a small, shifty step backwards and leaned back against the wall again, taking his hand away from his face to put his arm on the sill, more casually than he would've been able to before.
"By the way, aren't you weary of standing or anything? Even though we did sit for quite awhile at the balcony earlier, you don't have to stand here with me the entire time?"

"Fine, I'm just going to have to blame you then. Is that better?" she asked, feigning innocence as she sat on her window sill, gazing out into the depths of the night. "You really are something, Tyler..."
Relieved that she had rid the tension in the room, if not fully in her heart yet, she leaned her back against the wall, her legs propped up in front of her as she sat on the window sill. "I was tired of standing, now that you mention it. You can sit as well, if you'd like."
SHe rested her head against the cool of the wall and closed her eyes, in silent attempts to calm herself down. And for once, it worked. Feeling less stress than before, though perhaps that was only because she was now blocking and channeling her emotions, she trusted herself enough to open her eyes and spare a glance at him.

"Aw that's just ...so nice of you. Blaming me." Rolling his eyes, he was disbelieving that she had managed a better feign of innocence than he did and felt sarcastic though not meaning anything by it. They were just both humorous in unique ways. "And yet i'm truly thinking you're nice you know? I'm really something? Not everything and some one to you yet?" It was so unnatural that he wanted to tease her so much even though he should've known better than to say anything like that, he still did and risked emotions escalating again. Pausing, he remembered how she had put forward her pretence of purity (in other words 'innocence') to tilt his head and look at her directly as if he was sad. Acting hurt from being 'only really a something', feeling slightly mischievious again.
"Yea i'll sit in a minute..." Instead of sitting, he knelt down in front of her as she sat on the window sill and continued the crazy game, rushing his last comment so it didn't disrupt his ridiculous efforts to pry an unexpected reaction out of her.

Lexi laughed and closed her eyes, tilting her head away from him, as though bored. Instead, she opened her eyes and gazed out the window, ignoring his frantic attempts to... what was it? Annoy her? Make her lose her patience? Act crazy? She wasn't sure, and to be quite honest, no longer cared.
"Nope, sorry. You're only 'something.' You're going to have to work harder to raise your level." she teased back, allowing herself to be playful and sarcastic again, her voice adopting the subtle teasing manner it usually hinted at again.

He sighed and was jaw droppingly disbanded from his initial strategies to make her laugh, but was satisfied that she let herself return to her usual charismatic personality so that what happened just a minute ago seemed non existent.
"I'm only going to work harder if i can raise my level; if it were a futile effort then i'd need some help with what i could do and that means you, telling me a few hints so that i can be and stay not only a 'something'?" She was ignoring him and he just knelt and eventually sat down on her bedroom floor looking up at her and wondering why she was staring out so often.
"Are you bored? You could have a sleep...or even some fun flying around. It's late anyhow and i shouldn't even be here but i am."

"No, I'm alright." She gave him a weak smile again, shrugging. "I wasn't planning on doing anything anyway, and I've never really needed sleep. My classes aren't until the afternoon anyway. If you want to leave though, you can, I won't stop you."
She stretched out her legs along the window sill, and turned her gaze from the outside world, as if to assure him that she wasn't ignoring him, or didn't mean to, atleast. "I'm not bored. I've just got a lot on my mind, as you can probably imagine."

"Yes i can probably imagine so you're excused from 'ignoring' me." Fighting a curling smirk off his face, he tried to make it as though she was really not that reassuring while he knew perfectly well that what she was feeling wasn't easy to get through.
After this comment, he'd stopped and decided to not tease her anymore than he already had, looking from her broom then all around her green room again. Admiring and scouring for interesting objects since her personal space wasn't similar to his.
"I don't have to go yet but i could if you ever need to spend time alone."

"I just said I don't care. Don't push it." Lexi snapped, pretending to seem bitter, then smiled weakly. "You're welcome here whenever you want, you know that. I'm alright. Really."
She seemed to be saying that too much lately; that she was 'alright'. She was growing to hate that word, for it said nothing about anything. No one could possibly feel 'alright', as it wasn't an emotion. Much like the word 'fine.' She silently scorned those types of words, paying no attention to the fact that he was, once again, examining her room.

Staring into space as he faced the centre of the room, he didn't turn around to look at her and decided he could manage the same of not caring so as to really not push it like he had been for the past hour. The clock was ticking, ancient and every second was louder than the silence time should stay in; her words weren't harsh and he didn't mind though they would've burned if she meant them more truly than seriously.
"It's okay, i don't think i'm actually allowed to come her as often as i'd like to. It's also the fact that other people here would find it disturbing to their peace. It's only because it's after hours that mean we are free to talk without their bustling activity."

Lexi nodded, once again returning her gaze to the window. Small hints of sunlight were beginning to stream over the grounds, and the pinks and reds of sunrise had begun painting the sky. Without turning to face him, or even acknowledging the awkward and uncomfortable air in the room, she said, "It's getting light. Maybe you should be going."
It wasn't an order, or even a request; merely a fact that she had thought of, and spoken aloud, and she made sure her tone reinstated that.

"Yea i guess so. I'll go now before everyone else wakes too; time went by too fast here." Picking himself off the floor, he turned around to her and spoke while he straightened alittle, glancing at her only, before he frowned from the sunlight and rays that crept up along the sky. Shining in flashes at the window and slowly illuminating the opposite wall of the green room, almost literally painting the whiteness away with the warm shades of morning. Clouds were visible now and they were tainted; people would rise soon and to find him here would possibly cause a commotion, not that he cared.
Smiling to himself meekly, he walked over and past the furniture, across the centre of the room until he reached her door and turned the knob to open it, quietly. Without a sound or creak of the hinges, speaking a little more quietly over his shoulder. "Have a good time Lexi, since i can't say good night now. It was nice talking and thanks for showing me your room."
