Lexi chuckled appreciatively at his explaination, nodding as she tried to understand the situation. "So, you did nothing to this girl, and yet she ran out on you? Maybe she was just upset, and you brought up the wrong topic at the wrong time." she offered, shrugging. She wasn't going to pretend to understand people like that; she was usually always happy and smiling, so she didn't have experience in that type of drama.
"Maybe you should go find her though? It's awful having to be upset with no one to comfort you. Unless, of course, you really do want to be alone...." She paused, realizing that everything she had just said was now pointless. "Alright, so there was no point to that advice. I don't know who she is, or what's wrong, so I can't really help."
She shifted her weight to the other leg, looking slightly apologetic at the lack of help she could provide him. "I'm normally much better at giving advice than this, really."

"Ah your advice is close enough to being the ideal one for this situation. I've just chosen to give her space and let her think it through or brood over it, whatever her choice is. I mean, if she ran because she felt the need to them going to comfort her would be pointless by all means and ways. So.." Sighing, he raised an eyebrow at her when she said she didn't think it helped and instead gave him an apologetic look in return. Thinking she was completely wrong on that part, well not really because she had truth in her words but he was stubborn like that and she had rescued...more like saved him from being even more lost in the dark when he didn't need to be. Clearly it was daytime..
"I don't know what i did to her but i probably had done something, i hope she comes around though. If not then i'll have to go confront her and sort things out right?"
He realised his own movement of beginning to gesture with his hands to express his frustration and determination to explain properly. Allowing her to comprehend more even when she didn't need to tell with this drama. It was his problem and he could get over it anyway. "well, i guess you wouldn't know too much about how to go through this since you don't know her but it's cool...there are ways i'll find. Thanks anyway though...but now i'll just get to know you instead of worrying and fussing."

Lexi smiled at the last of his words, nodding. "That's good to hear, there really isn't much I can do to help. But, atleast you've got me to talk to. And I promise I won't run off on you like that... Well, I'll do my best anyway."
She shrugged, smiling in a somewhat teasing manner, still attempting to imagine what had happened before she had wandered by. Tyler had said something, though he didn't know what, and the girl had run off crying. She was forced to think that he had said something wrong to her, but couldn't begin to picture what. That, and she didn't think he would do anything like that on purpose. He seemed like a nice guy, or perhaps that was just what she wanted herself to believe. She couldn't be so sure.
Realizing that she had been quiet, absorbed by her thoughts for a few moments too long, and staring at him all the while, her smile grew slightly wider. "Sorry about that, I got kind of distracted. So, what House are you in?"

While she nodded and answered with such kind intentions, he laughed quietly for a moment at the thought of how she'd run away from him like Beviria had done. This time, he'd make sure nothing odd like that happened again, for sure. It wasn't too nice to have to watch the figure of someone leaving him and causing him to be so confused.
"I have you now to talk to and i'll promise myself i don't have you running away from me randomly, even if it were that you reminisced some past event that was haunting and i made the memory come back. Which...you know, i think that's what i did to her and she couldn't contain it." Letting his hands fall down to his side, he stopped going on his puzzled rant and the gesturing as there was nothing to emphasise anymore, sliding them into his pockets simply.
He knew she probably had a thousand thoughts or ideas swimming in her mind since she had turned silent. But he didn't take his eyes off her and watched her smile grow wider with silent and partially hidden glee. "you weren't too distracted, i was pretty much rambling anyway...but, I'm in Wolfsbane. I don't think i've ever seen you in our commons before so ...what house are you in?"

Lexi smiled, shrugging when he told her that he had been "pretty much rambling". That was her biggest downfall to date; not listening and getting lost in her thoughts. She felt slightly guilty that she had missed something he had said, but shook off the feeling. He had told her it was nothing important; there as no need to be stuck on the past.
"Yeah, I'm in Everard." She paused, thinking back to the beach, where she had met the Wolfsbane who had been painting. She struggled to remember his name... Ryan? Brian? Ian? She couldn't remember, then decided it was unimportant.
"I'm hoping you don't have too much of a problem with that. I met a Wolfsbane the other day, and he seemed to have decided that all Everards, basically, weren't worth talking to." She rolled her eyes at the memory, finding that it was completely untrue and a biased stereotype. "But I'm guessing not everyone thinks that. Or, hoping, rather, as I do like talking to you."

Tyler let a look of understanding wash over his previously illogical expression, nodding slowly because he was guessing that person was Ian. Someone he had known for a long time but never really interacted with aside from talking and holding friendly chatter, although both counselled each other over 'deep' things.
"Everard? that's cool.. but i think you're thinking of Ian Flanagan? but i'm surprised if it's him? i didn't think he'd make any sign to say that Everards weren't worth talking to. Surely they are as i'm talking to you...honestly curious." He was interested with her experiences so far and clearly saw that she had things she was trying to clarify in her consciousness.
"so have you met anyone else? from other houses too? I'm glad you like talking to me too."

"Ian. That was it. He had insulted my major, and then decided to inform me that I couldn't take a joke, and he said something derogatory towards Everards in general. It was really rude of him, actually." Lexi sighed, shaking her head. But she wasn't going to let one boy affect her way of thinking. She was proud of her House, whether other people found it to be a good one or not.
"But yeah, I've met two other people so far. Madeline, who's in Everard with me. And Charlotte, a Kinrick." She smiled at the memories; both had seemed nice and had enjoyed talking to her, an experience she rarely had with her overall bluntness in her personality. "Who have you met so far?"
She took the time when he was thinking about his response to seemingly study him again. He was attractive, but not in an 'in-your-face' kind of way, and he had said he had enjoyed talking to her. People last year had found her annoying, so she had calmed down a bit. Deciding that this was a change for the better, she waited patiently for his answer, slipping her hands from her pockets and resting them on her hips.

"whoa...that was some intense disliking...and at first assumption. I didn't think it would've been like him to point out his opinions about that to you straight up when you'd just met him. Neither was it normal...but i guess he has his ways; just don't take it too seriously or anything. But, what do you major in? wonder if you'll be in my classes..." Saying this, he shrugged and tilted his head thoughtfully, awkward with the news but accepting it.
"Ian, i've known. I met Roxanne Carter and Brandon Diggorced...also Beviria, the girl who left me here randomly? Zena and Piper too. Quite a few people; and now you! but of course, i don't know all of them equally well." She seemed to be one who smiled alot and very often, he liked that fact but didn't mention it for saving any reaction she might have to it. When she placed her hands on her hips though, he felt a funny urge to move them from resting there as if to give her more entertainment with something else that he'd eventually think of. Obviously her standing there in the sun and talking to him was weariness itself, developing...or so he thought that was the case; such a strange urge... something that made his smiling, form a small grin for sheer craziness.

Lexi seemed to notice that he was taking in her appearance, and shifted slightly awkwardly, but with a smile all the same. "You probably won't be in any of my classes, though I try to take all the subjects I can manage. I'm an Advanced Divination major, just don't hold that against me." She knew most people found the class to be a joke, so she usually refrained from telling people her major, in case it started an arguement. However, she felt sure that he would accept that it was her passion without question. Or hoped, atleast.
"What are you majoring in?" Taking in his appearance, she decided that he would probably be in one of the more 'dangerous' classes, ones that many girls didn't take. He seemed like that kind of guy. Deciding she couldn't keep her opinions in any longer, she blurted one out. "You know, you're really cute."
She bit her bottom lip and stiffled a laugh at her overall bluntness, hoping against hope that it didn't scare him off.

Breaking off the gaze he had on her when she shifted, his eyes darted past her than back at her in a split second, aware that his grin wasn't leaving. "Advanced Divination? I would've chosen to do that...It actually sounded quite interesting because i'd sort of daydream about the past, present and future. If that made any sense and was possible." What he said was true, he didn't tell people often about what he thought and was interested in. They just didn't need to care as much and he found no need to share it, keeping silent to daze away in his world for alittle peace. Since she took the major though, he decided it was a good idea to pour out his ideas one at a time.
"I take Demonology, just was so captivated by the course, i had to choose it in the end. There were too many options though, i'd do them all if i could! How do you go about to taking so many subjects? it must wear you out.." It was only now, he realised he wouldn't see her as often because they took classes on the other side of the school and both stayed in dorms at opposite ends too. However, he didn't let himself be dismayed and opened his mouth to say something when she blurted, causing him to feel like he was blushing. Praying he wasn't because it was heartstopping and someone like him would be mortified for that weakness, although at the same time, it was enjoyable and something worth smirking about with gratitude. "thank you...i'd have told you that you were pretty and that i like the fact that you smile alot too.."

Lexi smiled at his last words, ignoring the fact that a slight tinge had spread across her cheeks. "Thank you. And I'm glad you think Divination is interesting, because most people think it's a waste of my time. But I love doing it, and if you can't take the classes, maybe I can teach you some things sometime." She said it casually as an offer, as if she didn't particurally care either way, but deep down she was hoping he'd say yes.
"And classes aren't all too tiring, as I'm only taking a course or two from each major, not including Divination. It's not too hard." She shrugged, having not considered classes too hard. She pushed herself to exceed in all that she did, so taking a few more classes than others didn't affect her too much.

There was rosy hue to her slightly blushed cheeks and he thought it must be burning the same way on his face but ignored his own physical feeling. "you're most welcome...and yes exactly, people do think it's a waste of time. It's understandable though because Divination requires alot of patience and interest to be able to let anyone spend hours working on it. It's good that you love it and you're doing something you love though, and sure! i'd appreciate you teaching me whenever you feel like it." Enthusiastic, he tried to act like his delight was subtle and agreed truly that he'd learn much from her. There was just effort that he'd put in for it that he'd have to consider, linking with his own work so he could make time painlessly.
"Doesn't sound like it's a problem at all with you, i'm just a bad procrastinator sometimes so i'd have catching up and rushing to do if i took too many subjects here." Her tone was firm and proudly confident, telling him that she did make full use of her chances and did them far better than he would've without encouragement.

Lexi nodded in understanding; most people she had come across had called her crazy for taking on the amount of work that she did. If she was honest with herself, there were times when it all overwhelmed her, but most of the time she was happy. However, she hadn't taken into account that his schedule might be very busy.
"Okay, sure, I'll be glad to teach you any time. It might be a bit tough, fitting it into your schedule, as I don't want to overwhelm you, so just send me an owl or something when you feel like it." She smiled (what a surprise) at him, and brought a hand up to her cheek. It had grown colder, and she was glad to feel that the burning in her cheeks had subdued. "I'll make time for you whenever you want to be taught."

As for his schedule, it could be moved and fitted according to his wants so if he was this determined then it would work out as much as he could manage and control. There would be times when he'd not have a choice but it could be tweaked and the process of manipulating and changing was good persuasion and planning skills coming into practise, so he didn't mind one bit. Only her schedule was by far the most complicated and demanding one he'd known someone to take in this school and it would make sense that their lives were slightly more than different.
"nah...it'll work out, i'm sure. I can move some things anyway and it just means i have less of my duties to do, so i'm not complaining anytime. Except, you have Quidditch don't you? i'm guessing... because that'll definitely clash more often than not and it'll be something unchangeable."
That was another thing; for the love of the game? Quidditch was something never to be missed in his opinion but there shouldn't be worry on that since they have no upcoming matches and Zack wasn't going to kill the team for slacking slightly.
"i'll make my time synchronise. Don't worry about it, you're busier than i am."

Lexi nodded, knowing that what he said was true. Between organizing her Quidditch team and balancing her school work, she rarely had time for a social life, even if it did include teaching someone her studies.
"Yeah, I'm Captain for Everard, but I won't worry about pushing my team too hard just yet. As soon as I catch wind of a upcoming game, there'll probably be practice everyday, but for now, I'll try to keep the schedule as undemanding as possible. Besides, I find there's always room to adjust my schedule if I really want to do something."
She smiled weakly at him, as if assuring him that she'd find the time. If he really wanted to see her more often than necessary, of course. Lexi was starting to become keenly aware of how her body gestures were, how she was positioned, and what she was saying, though she usually didn't take any of these into account. Not knowing what to do with her hands anymore, she placed them slightly awkwardly in front of her, hoping that he didn't sense how uncomfortable she was. Not because of him, but because of herself; she rarely had a conversation this long before, especially with a guy that stirred some sort of feelings within her, though she quickly blamed her emotions on the fact that she hadn't had a lot of practice on her conversation skills.
