"that's a really smart choice, now if only all my practices were like that and didn't require odd times like 5 in the morning or something. I suppose our captain does need time to attend his parties though." He added, almost with a laugh and let a brief grin flit past his lips, imagining the parties with Kinrick that were frequently held at the beaches and party rooms. Not particularly interested in them, he did keep to himself most of the time but didn't shun the social life because that would have driven him to eventual insanity.
Besides that, he craved attention very often but that had nothing to do with anything he was talking to her about so he moved on to another thought in his head, unmoving and sagging in such a frozen pose. For his own comfort as they were really standing and having some intense conversation.
The most charming place to most was this courtyard and the balcony they were on; something he believed but it was probably pretty awkward for her to be in surroundings like that with him now. Gazing at her as he mused, he didn't see her actions and was nearly oblivious to how many emotions were surging through her.
"when there's an upcoming match, i'll hope to see you there should our teams be against each other too. Especially if you're in the same position as i am?"

"Chaser, yes." Lexi nodded, not bothering to try to explain how she knew what position he was. She was a Captain; her job was to know everything about her team, and some things about the others, and she held that standard with high regard. Or told herself as much, anyway.
"It should be interesting, going against eachother. But I'm not going to hold back, just because you're cute." There it was again: the blunt honesty that Lexi randomly blurted out without any thought process. But, she was okay with that. Shifting her weight and looking around, it finally dawned on her the beauty of the scene. It was absolutely breathtaking, and she gracefully walked closer to the railing, taking in as many sights as her senses would allow.
"It's beautiful here, isn't it? Absolutely breathtaking."

How much he longed to be Captain was quite extraordinary but he had rathered be prefect than ask for such a position in competition with other people. There was no particular reason to want to be everything when he was already frequently stressed out with the most useless things and pathetic situations with people. He didn't need to care about it and should just remain nonchalant and apathetic but he couldn't and she had entered to bring some comfort as company. "Should've guessed straightaway that you were Chaser too. But that's cool, i won't hold back either since i'll have to welcome such a challenge with you." He was about to say more but shuddered to think of the consequences if he did hold back and was relieved that he didn't speak before thinking as she had gone over to the edge of the railing now. "It is beautiful but not many people come up here to see down there... I usually come at night but that's the time when there're even fewer people."

"The night? I've never been around here at night before, so I'll just have to take your word for it." Noticing that Tyler was still standing near where she had been a few moments ago, she turned to face him and waved him over, an offer for him to join her. Then, she once again looked out at the scene before their eyes, the sun hitting at such an angle that half of her face was hidden by shadows. It really was beautiful, and she absentmindedly tucked her hair neatly behind her ears as she took in everything.
"Maybe I'll come see it sometime. It must look lovely when the sun sets. Or rises, for that matter; I just love it when the sky is streaked with color." She gazed up at the sky now, carefully directing her gaze away from the sun, so as not to blind herself, and leaned slightly on the railing in front of her.

"It even looks good when it's raining but i think snow makes it even nicer. Depends what kind of scenery and weather or season you like, maybe?" Once again, he had to move into the blinding light and stood with her while shielding his eyes like he had done only moments ago. It was beautiful and captivating but he just disliked the sun as much as he could because it was traumatising to have stayed under the heat everyday for practice or any other activity. On occasion, he'd see the charm in standing under streaks of colour and muse but he normally there was a deep preferrence for darkness that provided escapism.
He spoke again intending to not let her know that the light was something he shied away from and acted like it wasn't too bad because his avoidance had been to clear, in the first place, to deny. "You could, but you'd have to be sneaky wouldn't you now? It is most enjoyable when the stars shine brightest and that was at midnight, in my opinion, but it is only if you liked when there were floods of moonlight and everything was seen, illuminated. I'd be here...but i don't think anyone else tries to leave the dorm so late."

"I'm usually out on the beach long after we're supposed to be locked in our dormitories." Lexi admitted, pulling herself up so that she could sit on the rail and still talk to him, her back to the scenery now. "So, I don't think being sneaky is too much of a problem. And it's probably better that not many people come here at night; it would seem suspicious."
She tried to envision the scene as it looked at night, closing her eyes and letting a few loose strands of hair fall into her face. "That does sound really nice." she said, after a few moments, though her eyes were still closed. She hadn't left the daydream she was having, and a small smile crept across her lips.
She took no notice of Tyler's subtle discomfort, being as oblivious as always. She gripped the railing on either side of her more tightly to keep from falling over the edge and waited for his response.

Sharie was wearing a light jacket and jeans that she had folded up to her knees. She walked slowly down the cute little path winding through many different assortments of plants and such. Though she didn't know it, she was in full view of Lexi and Ty. Sharie glanced around to make sure that no one was near, and she did a few cartwheels. She ended with a spectacular handstand, and walked down the path for a few moments on her hands before landing on her feet. Sharie laughed to herself, and let herself fall backwards into a low bush with soft leaves. She lay there for a couple minutes, humming to herself, and thinking about her classes, her life and everything. Sharie, being the hyper and random girl she was, stood up suddenly and burst out in a loud opera sounding song. She laughed to herself, but when she stpped, she wasn't very happy. She needed someone to be laughing with her. A friend. She still didn't realize that Lexi and Ty were up on the balcony, looking down on her like she was crazy. Sharie wasn't crazy though; she just needed someone to hang out with.

"it does seem suspiscious especially if there were two or more people hanging around after dark in the same deserted place." Shrugging, he really didn't see the point why people were sometimes nosey in situations which didn't mean anything bad and moved to stand closer to her, almost in front and able to reach around her if it was needed. From precaution of her falling. It wasn't like she couldn't take care of herself and risk things without knowing the dangers, but he just felt like it was necessary, somewhere within his ability for his natural competitive and personality reasons.
Looking past her, he looked down at the courtyard and patted her shoulder to point out the dramatic arrival of a figure. The handsprings and acrobatic movement had surprised him and made him slightly curious, though not impressed nor amazed. But when was he ever really amazed with achievement anyway?
He did look at the girl like crazy though, thinking she was too jovial at this time of day and laying in the sun as being ridiculous. "do you know her Lexi? I don't think she noticed us."

Lexi had almost fallen from the sudden noise, but gripped the railing on either side of her just in time. Steadying herself and shaking, she turned to look at the new arrival. "Yeah... Well, I met her once, just for a few minutes when I was talking to Piper about the Volleyball Tournament. I think her name's Sharie, or something along those lines."
She shrugged; she wasn't one of her closest friends, and the bright cheeriness seemed to frusterate her slightly. Running her fingers through her hair with one hand, the other still gripping the railing, she turned back to Tyler and shrugged. "Well, she seems really happy about something, no?"
Her near-fall was still affecting her, and her shaking hadn't ceased, even when she had taken one hand off the rail. Her breathing slightly heavier than before, she smiled weakly at Tyler to assure him that she was okay, then looked back at the girl.

"oh so you've already heard about the tournament? Madeline mentioned it some time the other morning at the beach. Are you going to join it?"
He watched Sharie but took notice of Lexi out of the corner of his eye and jumped to sit next to her on the edge. Should he have not care about what she'd say, completely disrespected her decision to stay sitting on the edge and holding the railing to carry her off or just turned a blind eye to how she was shaking? No matter what he was thinking and asking, he took it lightheartedly and rather enjoyed sitting next to her in the same way, gripping the rail to be able share the thrill of almost falling.
"She does seem really happy about something but she is alone..." Remarking, he smiled plainly and childishly messed up Lexi's hair while she was staring at Sharie and waited for her to glare or be shocked. He'd tell her then, that she had to keep her hand on the rail, with her hair a mess.

Lexi nodded at his first question about the tournament, turning back to face him, to find that he had sat down next to her. "Yeah, I was actually the first one to know about it, as I was there when she decided to have one. It should be fun, I'm definately going to join. You boys better watch out."
She stuck her tongue out at him playfully, and started laughing when he attempted to mess up her hair. With a quick glance at a glass window across from them, she saw her reflection, and grinned. "It's a nice look for me, don't you think?" she joked, though attempting to look serious at the same time. The result was a small sort of half grin that probably made her seem far more strange than she had in the first place.

"Watch out? Are you kidding? We're not letting you win when there's a possible quality forfeit. Even better when it could be anything!"
Pretending to be imagining things and zoned out for a few seconds, he looked back down at Sharie with an enthusiastic gleam in his eyes and exclaimed far too cheerfully for his real feelings. It was true though, they weren't going to let a chance like that pass no matter how much fair play could destroy the hope- not that they would try anything during the game.
He didn't even know who was on the teams or anything yet anyway. "But we'll be watching very happily. You can count on that."
Taking his hand away from her hair and tilting his head to admire his incomplete work of art before nodding, he grinned now and glanced at the reflection of them. "It is a nice look for you, i agree. I should do that more often. Kidding...i wouldn't. I thought girls hate it when people mess up their hair?"

Lexi just nodded at his comments about the tournament, grinning and running a hand through her now-ruffled hair. "Most girls do. But the thing is, I can either complain about it, or be able to laugh at myself. And honestly, life's too short for complaining; it wouldn't get me anywhere anyway."
This was her philosophy on life, of sorts. Live life to the fullest. Try to always have a positive outlook. She swung her legs, dangling off the edge of the railing, and smiled to herself, one hand still desperately trying to sort out her hair. And failing miserably. Finally giving up, she looked back at the window; her hair was slightly better. More managable, atleast. "I think my hair likes this new style. I may not have a choice anymore."

"So i am going to have to take it that you're not most girls. Life is too short for complaining, trying to live out the best and the most in the short span is all we can do really. Or so what i would like to do before i died."
As he stated, he crossed and overlapped his legs as they sat and let them dangle instead of support him against the wall, speaking his mind. He didn't know her philosophy was just being repeated by him and he let his grin fade slightly to watch her fix her hair in the reflectioon instead of at her person. "It likes it because i do? Guess i made a good choice in messing it. I'd keep a photograph..."

Lexi smiled as she listened to him rewording her own personal meaning of life. "You know, that was exactly what I was thinking, in different words. Amazing how you knew that, when you barely know me at all."
Lost in her thoughts about connections between people, and mindreading in general, Lexi didn't notice that his gaze had left her, nor that his grin had slid slightly from his features. She allowed her hand to fall limply back at her side, then gripped the wall; her lack of coordination could cause more than a few bruises if she didn't watch herself. She seemly snapped out of her thoughts as he spoke again, breaking the short span of silence, and she laughed slightly, rolling her eyes.
"Believe it or not, I'd actually prefer you didn't take a picture of my... er... lovely hair." she said, emphasizing the word 'lovely' with a subtle hint of sarcasm. "Most girls like it when they look decent in public, particurally around a boy. And in that way, I am like most girls."
