"I'm not weirded out. I thought I'd felt you staring at me... what worried me more was the idea that I'd felt wrong. It's not a good sign for a Divination major." Lexi assured him with a smile, purposely bumping her feet against his a few times, grinning. She knew that he probably wouldn't appreciate the comment on Divination like she would, but she didn't care much.
Lexi felt the sun warm her back and pulled away, leaning slightly forward now, as to not overheat or anything of the sort. "And it's kind of hard not to look at you, too." she admitted, her eyes bright as she smiled at him.

"Felt wrong? Like a bad wrong? That's bad. Especially coming from a Divination major." he nodded wide eyed. He was slightly mocking her, but was really confused on why looking at her made her feel wrong. He wanted to know why. He smiled when her feet bumped his.
He leaned his head back, "I'm telling you." He looked back at Lexi, "Magnetisim, there's something about you that draws me in...and it's very persistant." He said bumping her shoulder. "Kind of like a parent telling you to clean your room, they don't back down until you do it. but in this case there isnt really anything I'm supposed to be doing...unless you count staring at you." As he said this he got right into her face squingting his eyes at her. "Why is it so persistant?" He asked softly.

"No, not felt wrong." Lexi explained, shaking her head. It was another example of her inability to explain herself properly, she knew with a sigh. "I mean, I felt your gaze. If you hadn't been looking at me at all, I would have been wrong, wouldn't I?"
He was making her nervous, but in a good kind of way, she decided. Butterflies were... she would have said exploding in her stomach, but that brought the wrong mental image, causing her to smile. As he leaned towards her, she felt her breath catch in her throat, but couldn't turn away. Forced to stare into his eyes, she smiled and shrugged slightly. "I don't know.. I guess I'm just irresistable." she teased, her voice almost a whisper.

Was he making her nervous? He thought as he stared into her eyes. he smiled slightly as she explained herself and mentally he understood. "Irresistable huh?"He thought a moment and backed away a bit. 'I guess you could be right. Honestly if I didn't have any self control I probably would have kissed you right there." He said and shrugged backing away completely, just a fraction on a bit spooked. He took a deep breath and let it out in a sigh and smiled. 'But if I would have done that, your boyfriend would have probably killed me." He laughed and leaned back against the window again.

"Boyfriend?" Lexi asked, tilting her head slightly as she looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed. "Have I ever mentioned a boyfriend...?" Confused, she thought back to their previous conversation, but couldn't recall anything that even hinted at a boyfriend. Had she said something randomly that came out wrong? That was likely, knowing her.
"I don't have a boyfriend." she explained with a shake of her head, while leaning her back against the window once more. The smile that had creased her lips when he admitted that he was close to kissing her had diminished slightly, and she turned and stared straight ahead of her, still slightly confused.

Alex shrugged, "I guess I just assumed that you would have one." he told her closing his eyes. "And no you never mentioned one, but you didn't seem like the type of girl to go bragging to guys about your boyfriend." Alex thought a moment. He remembered Lexi's smile when he told her thatt he would have kissed her. That should have been a sign that she didn't have a boyfriend, possibly a sign that she wouldn't mind him kissingher. He shrugged it off, dropping it.
"Just forget I said anything about it." He said openeing his eyes and looking over at her with a smile.

Lexi thought over his words, knowing that he was right. She wasn't the type of person to brag about a boyfriend, even if she did have one, and especially not to other guys. That, after all, was just stupid in her mind. But, he made no move towards her again, even with the knowledge that she was single, and she knew that mentally, he'd dropped the subject.
A bit disappointed, but not allowing it to show on her face, Lexi only nodded and returned the smile. "Oh. Alright. Consider it forgotten, then."

The smile that had appeared on his face was slowly sliding off. He said to forget about it, but his mind was reeling. He knew he wasn't going to forget it that easily. And besides, she smells nice, he thought. Lexi's smell was clouding his brain, making practically impossible to think of anything else.
"Wait, scratch that last thing. Don't forget it." He said looking over at her, confusing himself with words and feelings. "Well forget the stupid boyfriend question, but not the fact that I would have kissed you...because I kind of want to." He said turning his body slightly to face her better.

Lexi felt her heart leap up to her throat, and the smile that had been beginning to edge away returned, brighter than before. Determined to keep some sort of calm and wit about her, she turned to face him and tilted her head slightly, a coy smile playing on her lips.
"Only kind of?" she asked, her gaze locked with his, and she couldn't seem to turn away. "I'm hurt." She was only teasing, of course, and even though she claimed she was hurt, the smile remained on her lips as she gazed at him, her hands folded on her lap.

Alex raised his eyebrows, "Actually, not kind of. Really want to." He said with a smile. It seems she's either playing with me, or it's alright if I do kiss her. His eyes scanned her face. All of her features. They passed over her lips, lips in a way that were teasing him.
Alex smiled and took the side of her face in once and and lowered his face close to hers. Lips centimeters apart, "Do you want me to kiss you?" He teased softly, though restraining himself so he could wait for an answer. He wanted nothing more than to crash his lips into hers.

Lexi actually giggled at his words, which she found more strange than anything. She never giggled... Laughed, yes, and often it was just smiles, but she never giggled. She chalked it up to the nerves, and the butterflies exploding in her chest. Still, it was the wrong mental image, but she could think of nothing better to describe how she felt.
But she didn't answer, for what was she to say? Yes? That seemed so childish, so juvenile. She could have responded with something witty, which she was often able to come up with, but her mind drew a blank. He was too close... her mind wasn't functioning properly. So, she did the only thing she could think up to do. Without waiting and debating what would happen next, she closed her eyes and pressed her lips against his.

Whoa, was all that Alex's brain could come up with. Kissing Lexi was definately something he should have done when he first met her. He brought a hand around her waist and scooted a little closer to her, their knees touching. Something was going on with his stomache. It was flipping around, and instincts inside of him made him want to pull her so close and kiss her hard.
He slowly released the kiss, tingling from the contact with Lexi's soft lips. He smiled, "Whoa." Damn him, was that all he could say or think! Alex had let go of Lexi, but was still facing her and close, he liked it that way.

Lexi rested her forehead against his, feeling comfortable with him, despite the nagging knowledge that they barely knew eachother. They'd only been talking for what, a half hour? Impatiently, she pushed away these thoughts and just focused on him, his eyes, his lips.
"Whoa? Very articulate." she teased, but knew that he'd put into words all that she'd been feeling. Feelings like this must have been the reason 'whoa' was invented, she decided as she smiled at him.

Alex smiled softly as her forehead rested on his. "Well, that's all I could really say. Anything else would have ruined the moment." He said laughing lightly. He took her hand in his and gently played with her fingers, not taking his eyes off her.
"I feel that I have to get to know you a little better before I ask you out. Whatever your answer would be, it doesn't matter right now, only when the time comes." He felt that he should get to know her more, he didnt want to rush into anything. Although when the time did come when he would ask her out, he hoped she would say yes. But that is in the future. He kissed her quickly and smiled, "Just had to do that again." He said teasingly. Thensomething bugged him. Why could he kiss her before he got to know her, but not ask her out?

Lexi paused, then allowed a bright smile to crease her lips. "Well, I suppose I've already done a good enough job at ruining the moment, didn't I?" she said with a small laugh, looking down at his hands, which were gently playing with her fingers.
Lexi nodded in understanding as he explained himself, and though normally she would have felt disappointment sink in, she didn't feel it today. Either that, or she had just gotten really good at ignoring it. After all, it was true that they barely knew eachother, and he didn't seem to be the type who would rush into something without thinking it over first. A Potions major: precise, thought-out, and factual. Definately not one to rush into anything they might not be ready for. "Okay." she said simply, with a smile to prove that she understood his logic.
