Alex grinned, "I knew you'd understand. And you do know that until the time comes, we are stictly forbidden to kiss." He said with a playful look in his eyes. "It just wouldnt make sense, and I like to make sense." He told her and then went as far to say, "You know, to make that easier on me, we probably shouldnt touch either." he mumbled letting go of her hand and leaning back a little.
What kind of a rule was that! He asked himself angrily. Great now I'm going to be sitting around longing to touch her, I'm not only going to be failing Divination, but every other class. I need to find an outlet that will help me get my mind off her. Maybe a club or something. "Know any good clubs I could join?" He asked suddenly. Hoping she wouldn't ask why and give a straight answer.

Lexi couldn't tell whether he was joking or not when he explained that they shouldn't be able to kiss or touch until he felt that he knew her more, but when he pulled away without a smile, she got her answer. Frowning slightly, she moved a foot or so away and leaned against the window, as to not making it any more awkward than it already was.
The abrupt change of subject brought a smile to her face, however, simply because it was so random. "Clubs?" she repeated, staring up at the ceiling as she thought it over. "I don't know how many clubs there really are around here at the moment... There's one for Wizard's Chess, and gobstones, but I don't know how much fun they are..."

Alex watched her scoot away. He cursed to himself, "Eh, screw it." He said and moved back over to her, and took her hand. "We'll knock off the no touching rule. But the other is firmly in place." He said with a smile. He still wanted to kiss her, and she still clouded his mind.
"Wizards Chess hm? Well I've always been good at that. Maybe I'll join. I'm very good when it comes to Stategey games." He said proudly, playing with her fingers once more.

Lexi laughed as he closed the distance between them again, and shook her head slightly, so that her bangs fell over her eye once more. "I'm sure it is." she teased as she intertwined their fingers, and couldn't help but roll her eyes a bit. He really was something, wasn't he?
She rubbed the back of his hand with her thumb as she listened to him and nodded slightly. "I can imagine." she admitted. He was one of the practical people, so he seemed to be the type who was good at those kinds of games. She, on the other hand, was not. "I'm awful at things like that."

"Don't tease. I'd really hate to break my own rule." He told her smiling. He noticed her hair fall. He remembered watching her movements, she always tucked them behind her ears. So he did it for her with his free hand.
Her hand sent tingles, he didnt know he could be affected so easily by someone. He smiled, "Are you sure? I mean you didn't have a strategical plan to lure me in?" He asked teasingly. "I can't believe fell so hard for it." He said shaking his head.

Lexi felt her face burn as he swept her hair away from her eyes and tucked the strands neatly behind her ears, a movement she was so used to doing herself that she hadn't even imagined he would do it for her. She smiled gratefully at him and crossed her ankles.
"Nope. No strategic plan." she assured him with a laugh and a shrug. "Simply thinking on my feet here, I guess. So, you're tough out of luck if you're trying to figure me out. It'll never work."

Alex's eyes got wide, "I think that is the first time I've ever seen you blush...or get red at all." Truly amazed he could do that with a single movement. He smiled back at her.
"Hm...none at all." He thought a moment before saying, "Maybe that's why I couldn't read you any farther than I did. You don't strategize...or if you do your not very good at it." He teased." I'm used to reading people with some type of strategey, but I can't read you with a strategey if you don't use it yourself." He said hoping he didnt confuse her. it made sense in his own mind, but his mind is very complicated and very good at analyzing situations and coming up with the worst case senarios, or even thinkning ahead 200 paces before he makes any type of move.

Lexi smiled and shrugged as he stared, amazed that he'd seen her blush. Gradually, the reddish tint to her cheeks began to fade, and she shrugged once more. "Don't get used to it." she warned teasingly. "As it'll never happen again."
She laughed as he teased her about not being good at strategizing, but deep down, she knew he was right. "I know what you mean." she assured him with a nod. "That's why people often get frustrated with me. They don't understand what's going on in my mind... But that's just because half the time, I don't really understand it either. I act on impulse... You see, if I think too much, I start to worry, and then where would that get me? Afraid of life? It's much easier to try not to think things over too much..."

"But, you're so cute when you blush Lexi." He told her with a small smile. He let one of his hands dart up to her face and he stroked her cheek. He stared at her with a smile on. He used every ounce of his restraint not to kiss her again. What a stupid rule. He thought.
"I won't get frustrated with you. I don't need to know what's going on in your mind. And We are so different...I love it. I have to think things over or else I won't do anything. Sometimes I act on impulse but it's very rare, and only when my mind is clouded and I'm not thinking straight." He let his hand fall back down resting it on the window sill. He smiled.

Lexi glanced down as he reached out towards her and involuntarily shuddered at his touch, then glanced back up at him. He seemed to be battling with himself mentally, causing her to smile and shake his head. It was his rule, anyway.
"I've never really understood people like you." she said bluntly, shaking her head. "Really. Doesn't it get frustrating, having to plan your every move like that? I'd much rather trust my instincts..." She trailed off, shrugging and running her hands along the sill once more, absently tracing the grooves in the stone.

Alex furrowed his eyebrows, "People like me hm?" He laughed slightly. "I don't really think about planning everything out, it kind of just happens." He told her waving a hand. "So I guess you could say that it is my instinct to plan things out." Alex reached for Lexi's moving hand and layed his palm over the back. He helped her trace the patterns. Alex smiled and lifted her hand to his mouth, kissing it.
"I didn't break the rule if you're wondering. It's a loop hole. Kissing the hand is ok." He told her with a grin.

Lexi thought it over, and realized that what he said actually made sense. Having to plan things out would be extra work for her, something she wouldn't want to have to do, but she did understand that it could come naturally for some people. Maybe.
She laughed as he brought her hand to his lips and shook her head slightly. "You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were just making up the rules as you went along." she said, smiling and sticking her tongue out at him childishly. "And I'd have to inform you that I think that's cheating."

"Making up rules! Why I'd never!" Alex exclaimed, pretending to be shocked. He smiled and continued. "And cheating in this situation is bad how?" He asked playfully. Although he did set that one rule, he was having difficulty trying to keep it. He was about to just throw it out the window and ask her out.
"Stick your tongue out again, and I might have to bite it off." He told Lexi as she stuck her tongue out. He laughed and gave a look that said "just kidding".

Lexi laughed and shrugged slightly as he feigned shock in response to her teasing. "You can't cheat if you made up the rules yourself." she pointed out with a sly grin. "Because, really, what's the point of having the rules at all if you're just going to go around them anyway?"
"And really, I dare you to try." Just to test him, she stuck her tongue out at him once more, her eyes bright as they always were when teasing someone.

"Yes, but there's no fun in having rules you can't break... even if you made the rules youself." Alex countered smiling as well. He made a valid point, but so did Lexi. What was the point of having the rules if they were so hard to keep. He was getting to know her better by fooling around, whether it seemed like it or not. Being analytical he could start and figure out little things about her.
Alex leaned forward quickly, centimeters away from Lexi's tongue, teeth gaping open ready to snap shut.
